Work Text:

“Pisces and a Gemini
But I think we might go really nice together
If you let me stay the night
Well I think I might just have to stay forever.”

Annabeth’s hands had been tangled in Percy’s hair as she pulled him a little closer. He had her pressed gently against the wall of Cabin 3, his arms braced on either side of her. Their breathing had been heavy from kissing, laughing and whispering to each other and Percy’s grip had tightened on her sun damaged camp T-shirt keeping her impossibly close.

Moments like these were when Percy had thanked the gods that he was the only one living in Cabin 3 — and that Annabeth conveniently owned a cap that could turn her invisible. Sneaking off had become a daily thing. He would slip away during charades with Grover and the Apollo cabin boys, and she would meet him halfway, usually jump scaring him from behind a tree because she insisted he screamed like a little girl.

No one had known about Percy and Annabeth’s secret meetups. People at camp knew they were something, but that was about it. Even the children of Aphrodite couldn’t work out whether they were officially dating or just very close friends who hadn’t figured things out yet. Annabeth had told Percy early on that anything they did needed to stay private — not because she was ashamed, but because she didn’t want to be labelled only as “Percy’s girlfriend.”

She had also sworn she would be mortified if Chiron ever caught them in Percy’s cabin. Percy had agreed, though secretly he wouldn’t have minded if the other campers knew how close he and Annabeth had become.

“Perce..” kiss “Perce..” kiss “Percy!!” yup kiss kiss!

She had suddenly bitten his lip — not hard, just enough to make him gasp and pull away, breathless.

“Hey!” he had said, wincing as he touched his lip. Annabeth’s apologetic expression, her eyebrows raised and her brown eyes wide, had made him laugh.

“My kisses are that bad?” he had teased, but she had gone quiet, listening.

He had opened his mouth to say something else, but she had hushed him quickly, pressing her fingers to his lips. The cabin had gone silent except for their breathing. Percy had felt a burst of pride seeing her so breathless knowing he was the one that had left Annabeth Chase at a loss for words — until he heard the familiar clatter of hooves approaching.

His eyes had widened. He had mouthed “Shit!” and Annabeth had flipped their positions, pressing him against the wall and covering his mouth with her hand.

“Percy?!” Grover called out before knocking three times.

Annabeth quickly preened herself, she fixed her hair with her free hand and cracked the door open halfway. She was met with the satyr boy, who looked concerned but his expression softened seeing her.

“Grover- hey!” She tried to sound casual and leaned awkwardly, one hand braced on the door frame that was marked with dirt.

“Oh…hi Annabeth?” The satyr said perplexed “Why are you in Percy’s Cabin?”

Her eyes widened a fraction - Of course Grover would ask her that!
She stood staring at him blankly before a lightbulb went off in her head and her lips were moving before her brain could catch up.

“I told Percy I like reading in quiet spaces, and his cabin is quieter than Cabin 6, so he said I could come here whenever I needed peace.” She smiled grimacing a little, but when Grover just hummed and moved on she let out a tiny breath of relief.

“Speaking of Percy have you seen him, he sort of just disappeared earlier and Will was worried he was upset at his charades impression of him”

Grover questioned looking past Annabeth's shoulder into the room behind her
She moved quickly to block his view of the interior of Percy’s cabin.

“Charades impression of Percy? I’m intrigued,” she had said, glancing back at Percy, who had squeezed his eyes shut and covered his face.

“Oh yeah so he was like doing an impression of Percy when his mom bakes blue cookies and also started teasing him about how he is totally in love with-”

Grover stopped himself with a shy laugh.

“Anyways, any idea on where he would be?” he said, changing the subject fast.

“Uh-huh no… actually I haven’t seen him since training earlier...did you check the dining pavilion. He eats a lot”

Replying with a nervous laugh Annabeth hoped Grover would agree and be on his merry way looking for Percy who was literally pressed between the wall on the other side from Grover.

Grover hummed before he just shrugged “Yeah - ill go check thanks Annabeth” he said before walking down the steps of the Poseidon cabin.

The minute Annabeth shut the door she was tackled by Percy onto the bed receiving an unhealthy amount of tickles, she squirmed and kicked as Percy dug his fingers into her sides tickling her mercilessly.

“Percy stop!” She giggled between words and losing her breath she continued to squirm under Percy's hold.

“I eat a lot!?” Percy had squeaked in a high‑pitched voice, laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes.

Annabeth gasped in faux offence, still fighting his hands but her attempts at escaping were futile. “I do not sound like that!” trying to sound serious, but she broke again as Percy began attacking her face this time, not with his hands but with his red lips. He peppered one kiss on her forehead, two on each eyelid, two on each cheek, one on her chin and finally sealed his attacks with a soft kiss to her lips.

Once he pulled away the room fell into a comforting silence as the giggles faded.
He pressed one more soft chaste kiss to her lips before he eased her into an upright sitting position, he turned her around and gathered her braids into his soft hands, he began weaving them into one single braid.

“Estelle and my mom taught me last time I was at home in New York.” He murmured, his teeth grazed her ear gently.

“Is Estelle a good teacher?” She asked with a soft smile and relaxed into Percy's touch.

“Hm...okay- maybe it was more my mom taught me and Estelle got bored and went to play barbies 5 minutes in” He chuckled at the memory, Annabeth eased herself further back into Percy's chest. He tied the braid off with a simple white ribbon and draped it over her shoulder.

He traced a finger tip from her waist up to her side, up to her neck and finally to the side of her face and tucked a loose strand behind her ear. She picked up the small handheld mirror she had borrowed from Piper, it was adorned with little charms and lots of glitter, Piper argued you could never ever have too much glitter.

As she glanced at herself in the mirror and took note of Percy’s handiwork she turned over her shoulder and looked at him.

“Not bad, Seaweed Brain,” she had said. “Maybe I should make you do this more often.”
She had lain down, and Percy had followed, wrapping an arm around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder.

“I’ll do anything you ask,” he had whispered. “As long as it keeps you happy.”
Annabeth had smiled softly.

“And if I ask you to stay forever?”
“Good luck getting rid of me,” he had replied.
