   Summary

   Stratt is determined not to break under the weight of her decisions. But nothing could have been so painful as sending her soulmate to space. To cope, she writes letters.

   I dream of space, of the two of us lying in matching comas, entombed in our once-and-future mausoleum. I dream of being a bomb poised to fall above the Sahara. I would not call these nightmares, for I feel I have earned them; my court-mandated therapist tells me this is a needless distinction. I still call them dreams. I wake up, thrashing, with the ink of my tattoo burning. This is acceptable. I deserve no less.
