Vacationing in Florida was nice, having a beach day was just what the three needed. Lily was laying on a beach towel, reading a book while Logan and Alex were building sandcastles. Lily thought the TikToks she saw about girls bringing sand toys to the beach to keep their boyfriends occupied was crazy but seeing Logan and Alex fighting over buckets and shovels she realized they were right.
“Give me the green bucket You’ve been using it the whole time and I need a big one.” Alex tried grabbing the bucket from Logan’s hand, but the other man pulled it away.
“I’m still using it. You can wait your turn.”
“Asshole.” Alex mumbled, continuing to use his smaller (barely) blue bucket.
Lily watched the two over her book, smiling to herself. She sat her book to the side and grabbed a bottle of water out of the cooler. She didn’t think sandcastles could be this serious of a deal, but watching the two was amusing to say the least.
“Lily, can you tell Logan to share please.” Alex said, still trying it grab the bucket from Logan.
“You’re just jealous because my sandcastle is bigger and better and Lily likes it more.”
“That’s a lie.”
“You are making sandcastles way too seriously.” Lily said, laughing to herself.
“Well mine is still better.” Alex said.
“No it’s not.” Logan added another bucket of packed sand to his ever growing sandcastle.
“I think they’re both great.” Lily picked her book up again, letting the two fight about the sandcastles together, she was just going to read her book.
“Lily, we’re done. Whose do you like better?” Alex asked. Lily put her book down again to see the honestly very impressive sandcastles that were build in the sand in front of her.
“I think they’re both good.”
“No, you have to pick one. We need to know whose is best.” Logan said.
“I can’t pick between you two, you both win. Now you’ve both been ignoring me so I think you should both come up here and sit with me. No more sandcastles and no more fighting.” Logan and Alex looked at each other before rushing to sit beside Lily, one on each side of her.
“I got here first.” Alex said, sticking his tongue out at Logan.
“Behave.” Lily said, pinching Alex’s side.
“Ow. Meanie.” Alex laid down on the sand, hand handing on Lily’s thigh. Lily just shook her head, leaning against Logan who was sitting in the sand beside her. While listening to the two fight was annoying, she was just happy for the three of them to be together again.
