Chapter 301/post chapter 301.
"I've abbandoned you to win...just to lose against Yoichi and being ridiculous in front of the whole world! I'm not worth shit!" Kaiser is irritated. He doesn't understand why someone would still want to be around someone like him. "So stop fucking around with a piece of shit like me!" His voice raises in an angry tone against the magenta haired boy.
Ness doesn't move an inch, he doesn't react anymore to what his "ex-king" says to him.
"No, i don't follow your orders anymore." He softens his voice. "You're not shit,you're flesh and blood like any other human."
The blond doesn't look furious anymore. He looks like he's on the verge of tears. He never heard anyone say something like that to him.
Growing up to his dad's words made him believe he was worth nothing,made him believe he had to rely on his selfmade image to be liked by people. He was sure that after his lost everybody would have leave him,that Ness would have leave him,but like his dear first soccer ball,he always came back no matter what.
"My ego wants me to cast a spell on your broken soul." The curly haired boy's voice was soft and determinated. He wanted to help him. Tears. Kaiser trembles in tears,he can't help it anymore,falling on his knees. That was the second time Ness saw him this vulnerable,after seeing him choking himself,but never saw him actually cry.
He immediately lowered himself close to the boy, lingering his hand towards him. And Michael hugged him...crying like a little child on his shoulder. Alexis stayed silent,running his hand on his back to comfort him, make him feel safe. He knew damn well how it feels like. They remained like that for a while until Michael calmed himself.
Neo Egoist League was over.
When they went to their new hotel room in the evening, Kaiser couldn't help but stay close to Ness, snuggling over his chest in their bed, not wanting to let go. Alexis could't help but feeling sympathy for him,of course, running his fingers on the blue rose's messy hair, burying his chin on his head and sometimes leaving soft kisses on his forehead.
"I missed you during Neo Egoist League...you know..." The blond murmurs,almost unhearable.
"I missed you too,Micha." The other boy says softly, not expecting it coming.
"I was just so fixated on beating Yoichi that i completely abbandoned you,our relationship. I've been selfish. I'm so sorry. I don't wanna leave you ever again, but please..."
But then he gets interrupted.
"Listen,look at me in the eyes," Ness says softly raising Michael's chin. "of course things are gonna be different from now on, but i will never leave you." He says softly,caressing the boy's cheek. Michael nods, snuggling his face into Alexis's palm.
The curly haired boy leaves a soft kiss on his lips before they both fell asleep cuddling eachother.
