Summary
Michael Kaiser was broken. Alexis learned it the first day they met in that classroom.
Still, Michael entered his life and weaved his very existence into him, painting their overlap in muddled hues of blues and purples. Everything about him was infectious: the glint of slitted eyes, the touch of his cold hands, the secrets he told. He had over-worldly knowledge, the peculiar kind an eleven year old shouldn't know.
Alexis decided to fix him.
Could he? Or would the malignant vice of Michael's whims swallow him first.

Summary
Alexis Ness doesn’t belong. He never did— not in his house, his family, or at school. Alexis was belittled all his life by his family for believing something as stupid as the impossible. Alexis meets a boy whom he shared a slice of cake with on Christmas. It was the last time Alexis had seen him. Now, standing tall was the same boy Alexis had met when they were younger. He stood in that football field, reaching out for Alexis. The boy was Michael Kaiser. Alexis’s feelings for Michael grew since the day they reunited; so did the flowers. The way Michael simply understood Alexis's idea of soccer, Michael was the human embodiment of the 'magic' Alexis had vowed to look for. The longing desire to finally belong had finally been fulfilled. Michael is the symbol of impossibility. Michael, is the magic Alexis had believed in. The magic he was belittled for trusting in, for worshiping even. Michael was a deity— a God, a savior. Alexis's burning passion to find magic in everyday life had finally led him to the one and only, Michael Kaiser. But the magic had also led Alexis to flower petals— specifically roses; all painted in blue. Just for Michael, bloodied by Alexis's very own blood that had vowed to serve Michael, no matter what.

Summary
In a small town near Munich, two children strike up a friendship. In the years that follow, they grow up into twisted shapes hopelessly entangled with each other. Torn between heavy expectations, voiceless desires, and the metronome of football matches, Alexis Ness tries to be good enough for Michael Kaiser.
“Do you want to execute me, Michi?”
Michael laughed again and patted his cheek. “Would you let me?” he asked. His voice rose and fell in a playful pattern, as if this were a match rather than a conversation.
One-two passes. That was what he was good for. So Alexis passed the ball back to Michael. “If you wanted it. Whatever you want. You can do whatever you want. But you know that,” he said with a soft smile.
Michael looked down at him curiously, then brushed his left hand against Alexis’ throat. The tips of his fingers hovered over his Adam’s apple and pressed down lightly. “I guess I do,” he admitted.
A chronicle of Ness’ and Kaiser’s backstory.

Summary
Kaiser’s hand drops from his mouth and comes to a rest on his knee, leaving a dark print on his trousers.
“I did it.”
Alexis doesn't run, or retch. He tends to Kaiser’s wounds, at least the ones on his skin; every touch lights Kaiser's nerves up but he does his best to stay still, tilts his head to offer him a better angle, exposing his pulse point, his collarbone.
“Go home. I'll bury him myself.”
"I’m not leaving you on your own, ever again."It's 199X at the dreary urban outskirts of Berlin. Neglected, invisible Alexis finds Michael at the age of ten and loses him at fourteen. The next time they meet, Michael has spent years trying to kill the boy Alexis has been trying, in turn, to outgrow, but they crash into each other’s orbit all the same and every attempt to stay apart proves itself impossible; the past has a habit of clawing its way out of the ground where you buried it.
So, the day Alexis walks into the house at the end of the street to a corpse on the kitchen floor and his childhood friend drenched in blood, the decision is already made. Two teenagers, a dead body and a van: a coming-of-age thriller romance in three acts.
