Young Bunnyx entered the Burrow.
“I have a question.”
Knowing what was coming, adult Bunnyx said, “Yes?”
“Why does our Miraculous allow us to create portals to other times and other places?”
“Why wouldn’t it?”
“Well, it’s just… the Horse Miraculous also takes people to other places; doesn’t our Miraculous make it redundant?”
“Not quite, the Horse is more precise, you could say, and you don’t have to pass through the Burrow first.”
“You did that the first time we met.”
“You’ll need a lot more practice before you can do that.”
“Okay, but–”
“Look,” her older self interrupted, “You really want to know? Then follow my instructions exactly. Close your eyes.”
“Ooookayyyy,” she did so.
“Now reach out to that window you just came in from and send it forward, oh, about an hour.”
Young Bunnyx followed the instructions.
“Now eat this.”
Adult Bunnyx fed her something, and Young Bunnyx heard the sound of a transformation flash.
“Wait…”
“And now a little push.”
Adult Bunnyx pushed her through the portal, and young Bunnyx opened her eyes.
She was floating in space, the Earth in clear view.
She looked down at her space power-up suit before holding her hand out, “Burrow!”
The portal opened, and she flew through.
“Power Down!”
Her older self began to explain, “You see, the Earth moves at 1.3 million miles an hour, so when you travel to the exact same spot in space even a short time later, the planet has already moved on. So without the ability to move in space as well as time, our Miraculous would be useless.”
“Right, you know you could have just explained this.”
Adult Bunnyx smiled, “Yes, but this way is more fun.”
