Bookmarker's Notes
Loki lands on Earth and after some mopping decides he will make Earth worthy of respect since he wants his new friends to be respected. Along the way he realises that while he might be cunning he lacks the millennia of accumulated wisdom that Earth many different cunning individuals have possessed and so he keeps getting seen. They don't get all the details of his plots correct but they see far more than any Asgardian.

Bookmarker's Notes
The world is saved and Lex Luthor a villain turned turns hero turns himself into judgement despite popular sentiment in his favour. After all the actions that got him labelled a hero were the same that got him labelled a villain before the invasion. So he must ensure they are not glorified or humanity would take a dark path.

Heroes couldn’t be allowed to kill. Not heroes who wore masks, who were symbols rather than men.
But Joker needed to die.

Tim realises the Joker must die but he cannot stain the mask with that sin. So he kills him as a civilian and informs the police so he can accept the consequences for his action.
Has a good point that the reason vigilantes should not kill is the lack of accountability but he is accepting the consequences of his crime. -

Summary
The Joker is more of an existential threat than either Alfred or Bruce had previously realized, but now that they know, they must deal with it. Dealing with it involves finding the right people to actually deal with it.
Ie, The Joker isn’t just an immortal, he’s a dark quickening.
Bruce can make an exception to his no-killing rule, but there’s still a lot of planning involved in doing this right.

Bookmarker's Notes
Batman has speculated that the Joker is immortal and gets crazier each time he dies so decided to keep him alive to prevent it getting worse. Now however he has knowledge of what the Joker is and a way of killing him so admits it is needed and orcastrates the Jokers death even if he is not killing him directly.
Lots of introspection as Bruce battles with whether of not he should go ahead with killing the Joker. Also a different take on his reason for the rules and his start namely they were not so altruistic in the beginning.
