Summary
Hitch Calloway has a secret.
She has spent her entire life keeping it buried, and she is not ready for that to change.
When SIRENS, a rising rock band, hires her as their artistic director, she asks for only one thing: that her name appear nowhere. No credits, no covers, no interviews. To the others, it seems like a strange artistic whim. But Pieck Finger, the band’s sharp-eyed bassist, senses there is more beneath the silence and begins to dig.
Annie Leonhart, SIRENS’ adored and untouchable singer, has everything except peace. Cold, restless, and afraid of emptiness, she notices the way Hitch avoids mirrors and soon cannot stop watching her. Between them begins a dangerous game of desire, retreat, and hidden truths.
As Pieck follows the trail, Porco's resentment toward Reiner deepens, and the past returns in fragments: songs, articles, and an unopened letter.
When the truth finally comes to light, will Annie Leonhart still be able to love the woman she should have hated?
