Here Kitty Kitty

Summary:

Day 20 of Fluffy July - Fangs | “Look at me”

Work Text:

So. His husband was currently furry and spotted with fangs. That was certainly not normal.

“Uh. Here kitty, kitty?” he tried. The Master turned his head to look at him, then crouched. Shit. He barely managed to leap out of the way before the Master pounced. “Good kitty, good kitty, don’t hurt me please.” The Master snarled at him. What the fuck were you supposed to do when your husband was now an anthropomorphic cheetah due to a virus that he got several years ago?

He backed up as the Master stalked after him. Fuuuuucccckkkk. What was he supposed to do in this situation? It’s not like there was a guide. He yelped as he narrowly avoided the Master again.

“Bad kitty, bad Master, stop lunging at me—” the Master growled at him and tackled him to the ground. Great. So there was now a giant anthropomorphic cat on top of him who was also his husband and—honestly he’d been through weirder. The Master growled at him again. “Good kitty?” he tried, frantically scratching behind the Master’s ear. The furred Time Lord purred.

To recap, his husband was currently a furred, anthropomorphic cheetah due to a virus that he had contracted centuries ago and was currently on top of him, purring.  Maybe he just had to let it wear off? It had obviously been lying dormant in his blood. Perhaps something had triggered it? But what? Did he need to get rid of the trigger? He stopped scratching the Master’s ear, making him snarl at him.

“Okay, okay!” he yelped, resuming the scratching. He didn’t see how he could remove the trigger if the Master was going to maul him the second he stopped petting him. Or if he even needed to remove the trigger. Or if there even was a trigger. He genuinely didn’t know what had exactly caused the transformation.

The Master purred and nuzzled his hand. This was so weird. The Doctor wrestled free his other hand to scratch the Master’s chin. The Time Lord turned cheetah purred even louder, rubbing his head against the Doctor’s hand. It all made the Doctor feel strangely in love with him.

“That’s a good kitty,” he cooed as the Master settled into him. “Now if I could just move—” the Master bared his fangs at the Doctor and let out a low growl at the Doctor’s attempt to move. He quickly shut his mouth and went back to scratching the big cat-man, who quickly resumed his purring. “You really like this, huh?” His husband rumbled in response.

He once again supposed that he had gone through weirder things than his husband being an anthropomorphic cheetah. Again. For the second time. Because his life was anything but ordinary. For now, he was content to pet him as he purred. It was probably the most affection that he was going to get out of the other man for a while. He’d wiggle out and try to find whatever had triggered it once the other had fallen asleep, but for now, he was trapped.

He was actually pretty happy with his predicament.
