Summary
Frank Castle never believed there was a life waiting for him after losing his family. The war had followed him home, leaving him with nothing but anger, grief, and a reason to keep fighting.
You believed you were different.
After leaving the military, you built a life beyond the battlefield as a trauma nurse, dedicating yourself to saving people instead of losing yourself to violence. But some parts of war never truly disappear, and when your private security work calls, the soldier you buried returns.
When a mission puts you directly in Frank Castle’s path, the last thing either of you expects is to find someone who understands the weight you both carry.
He sees a soldier hiding behind a healer.
You see a broken man hiding behind a monster.
Neither of you is looking for love. Neither of you believes you deserve it.
But sometimes the people who understand your wounds are the ones who teach you how to heal.
