Summary
Taehyung's present isn't amazing, but it's much better than his past (which he doesn't care to discuss). Caretaker bots bring him dessert with his meals, read him a story each evening, speak softly to him, and most of all, they don't knock him around, which makes his institutionalization a decent outcome in his book all things considered.
When two officers offer him a chance for freedom in exchange for serving as an informant, he remembers he once had bigger dreams than being content in a cell and agrees to help.
