"Mom went through a phase where she was really into astrology," Bella's voice is soft and melodic. She stands next to Charlie, their shoulders nearly touching. He can feel the coldness that seems to radiate off of all of the Cullens.
Charlie huffs out a laugh. "Yeah?" Renee had always been into that kind of spiritual stuff.
"Uh huh. She talked about it all the time when I was in middle school. I didn't really care about it, but I thought parts of it were cool. I liked learning about the different phases of the moon, and what each one meant."
Charlie hums. He nods to the moon. "What does this phase mean?"
"Waning crescent," Bella says. "A time for rest and relaxation."
Charlie snorts, his heart feeling a little lighter at Bella's answering grin. "Yeah. After the last few years, I think that's exactly what this damn town needs."
