Chapter Text
It was a normal day in the black manner, lonely and utterly boring. Of course there were things to do, paperwork from his new job ( funny how even on your days off work follows you), then there was the cleaning and redecorating of the house. Which was a huge mess and frankly was just outdated, which he dreaded more then the paperwork. And most interestingly some things of his dads he had found in the manner.
But he felt like it was something special, something he was saving for the right moment. To saver. So there he was, sitting on the couch, with snacks encasing him, as he thought about what he Could be doing. He knows it will be harder to break him out of his slump after he’s in it. So he pushes him self up to do Something productive. Even if it was checking the mail, which in fact had also piled up. It would have been a lot worse if he hadn’t had the foresight of not telling everyone were he lived(though fan letters still seemed to find him somehow).
He was debating the ups and downs of walking down the stairs to get the mail and then all the way back up again, instead of just using a spell. He made it all the way to the stairs before disiding that if he had the tools it would be ungrateful not to use them. He pulled his wond out of his pocket.
“Acio mail!”
The mail floo up the staircase and into the room, luckily landing on the floor. As he looked at his days work he felt dread.

It had been almost two hours since . He had spent the time sorting through newspapers, fan mail (which somehow made it in), and postcards from friends. There was one that stood out among the others. It looked nice, good quality paper, vary put together, but nothing like what he would normally get. The outside was black with a red stripe were it was sealed with an actual wax stamp, in which the Greek goddess Circe gestured welcomely at him. He really has no idea who would send him this.
He wonder if it was cursed, if it would turn him into a pig just like the women on the stamp did to men. But if that was so he probably would have sensed it or the wards on the house would have.
Well fuck it, he didn’t win a war just to be scared of a peace of paper ( that could possibly curse him for eternity). The inside was more extravagant than the outside. It was a hand crafted card with intricate sketches of gods and cherubs on the sides.
In the middle it read “ my dear nephew, i hope this letter finds you well——————-
