Work Text:

To many, Jeon Wonwoo was considered to be spoiled, maybe even a spoiled brat. All he had to do was soften his eyes, maybe sweeten his creme scent and he had his mates eating out of the palm of his hand before "I want" could leave his mouth. Jeonghan would even go as far as to say he was greedy, like he was one to talk, but Wonwoo never saw it that way, not really. He had grown up a bit poor, but had parents who would do anything for him. After graduation, he had learned to fend for himself, but he had clearly been burnt out before Junhui and Mingyu found him. He was now just well loved and had two provider mates. How was that his fault? Now that he was pregnant, the spoiling became worse, but Wonwoo didn't mind it too much. After all, he was growing an entire human. It was only right for him to be more pampered than usual. It was more of a right if he was being honest.

He was nearing twenty weeks pregnant now. It was almost unbelievable. Being five months pregnant in the middle of summer during one of the worst heat waves was proving to be a challenge. He was getting hotter easier as well as moodier. The hot rays of the glaring sun wanted to make him murder someone, and he usually took it out on whoever was nearest, which almost always happened to be one of his mates. However, Junhui and Mingyu, always the best and most wonderful mates to ever walk the earth, never took it personally. They simply apologized, offered to fight the sun, and then provided him with solutions to help such as hand-held fans, ice cold water in a bottle carried by one of them, or even cooling packs.

Nighttime was even worse now. He was running hotter, the nest always felt itchy and wrong, Mingyu was too close, Junhui needed to close his damn eyes, and Wonwoo's legs ached. They would spasm just as he managed to get comfortable past his mates and his growing bump, only for his legs to have the worst pain imaginable. He would have to try and stretch them out, or get Mingyu or Junhui to rub them until the pain subsided.

However, despite his complaints, he wasn't unhappy. Far from it. His family was growing and he was at the center of it, giving life to their daughter. Besides, he got to be spoiled through it all. There were worse things.

It was a Friday morning, but Wonwoo had slept in for the first time in weeks. Minghao had agreed to run things alone for the day, knowing Wonwoo needed to rest, especially on such an important day. He was lying on his side, facing the window. As expected, the bed was devoid of mates. He should have been upset, but he knew exactly where his mates were and what they were doing. Besides, he wasn't entirely alone. Curled up next to his bump, was Sunny.

He had originally been upset about his growing bump. His clothes didn't fit properly, he felt like he looked so wide, like an elephant, and he no longer had a real center of gravity. However, Sunny loved his bump. She always crawled into his lap, or curled up next to him in the bed, gently headbutting it with the loudest purrs ever heard. From then on, Wonwoo loved his bump. It seemed Sunny was already obsessed with the little pup. The thought never failed to bring a smile to his face. His girls were so precious.

Sunny, noticing her favorite human was awake, gently meowed and rolled over, exposing her belly for Wonwoo to rub. The omega gently laughed, easily complying. He wasn't the only spoiled being in the house. Like him, all Sunny had to do was look at one of them and they would give her anything and everything. The sun was shining through the window, hitting Sunny's bright orange fur, making her glow. Her green eyes were less visible as she closed her eyes, enjoying her belly rub.

"Good morning, Sunshine Girl." He greeted.

Her purring grew louder in reply. "Did you sleep well? Where did Appa and Baba go?" He asked.

In reply, there was a knock at the door, his mates standing in the doorway, watching the scene before them fondly. Mingyu was holding a tray of food, while Junhui was carrying the drinks. One water, one strawberry juice. They wouldn't allow him milkshakes every morning anymore.

"We went to make our lovely omega breakfast in bed."

Wonwoo's eyes went to the tray of food Mingyu was still holding. "Pancakes?" He asked with a hopeful lilt in his voice. Much to his delight, Mingyu nodded.

"Strawberry and creme pancakes."

The omega practically made grabby hands at the beta. "Have I told you how much I love you?" He asked.

Mingyu chuckled, gently handing over the tray, waiting for Wonwoo to sit up and get comfortable, Junhui fluffing the pillows behind him.

"You might have mentioned it once or twice." Mingyu replied.

Junhui playfully pouted as he placed the drinks on the tray. "Don't you love me?"

Wonwoo eyed the strawberry juice. "I might remember something about it if I can get a strawberry milkshake."

Junhui let out a long but affectionate sigh, taking the juice back. "You're so spoiled."

"And whose fault is that?" Wonwoo retorted around a mouthful of pancake. "A little extra milk, please. DouDou is a growing girl."

"So," Mingyu asked, settling next to Wonwoo, skillfully leading Sunny away from the food. The cat flicked her tail with annoyance, but seemed to have gotten the message. "What do you want to do today?"

Wonwoo shrugged, shoving another forkful of pancakes into his mouth. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sunny trying to sneak her way over, perhaps planning to sneak some of the food. Wonwoo, however, was quicker.

"Jeon Sunny, don't you dare! You get your own gourmet food." He then stopped himself, cutting off a bit of plain pancake, feeding it to the cat who accepted it greedily.

"You're just as soft as us." Mingyu chuckled, having a front row seat to the entire interaction.

"Yeah, well. She's my daughter."

"Our daughter," Junhui corrected, entering the room. "Just because you're the designated human doesn't mean you can just hog her."

Wonwoo took the freshly made milkshake, taking a much needed sip before replying. "Can too." He argued. "You guys created a monster. That is not my fault."

Knowing they wouldn't argue back, he went back to happily sipping his milkshake. Junhui was strangely good at making them, perhaps it was practice from all the times he had to make them for Wonwoo in the past. Mingyu gently nudged him with his knee, trying to regain his attention.

"Your birthday, what do you want to do?"

Wonwoo finally set the milkshake down. "I'm not sure. Probably not much since you guys have work."

"We don't." Junhui replied.

"We took today off."

Wonwoo frowned. "But that's not fair. We had to work on your guys' birthdays."

"Yeah, well we're not growing a whole human inside us either." Mingyu argued. "It's only fair you get extra celebrated."

Knowing he couldn't do anything to change their minds, he simply nodded. "Fine. I don't want to do anything big, nothing outside either, if we can help it. I am sick of that stupid sun." He huffed, taking an angry bite of his pancake.

"Nothing outside." Junhui promised."How about dinner, cake, and presents?" He tried.

Wonwoo's expression brightened. "Presents?"

Mingyu fondly rolled his eyes. "Finish your pancakes and we'll discuss presents later."

Wonwoo let out a tiny, childish huff, but did as told, finishing up the pancakes with not a single crumb left in sight. He settled back into bed as his mates went to take care of the dishes and Sunny's breakfast. The sun was less of an intruding force now, lightly glowing against the lace curtains. Lace…lace would be cute on a dress for DouDou. Maybe he could even make a matching one for Sunny or-

"I can practically hear you thinking about work." Junhui chided as he and Mingyu returned.

They took to their respective sides of the bed, the ones that Wonwoo had assigned them, and gently cuddled into the omega. They all knew in about five minutes, Sunny would be joining, pawing at the alpha and beta until she could take her rightful side next to her favorite human. Wonwoo pouted at the accusation despite it being correct.

"How do you know that?"

Mingyu gently bopped his nose, making the omega's face twist in slight annoyance. "You get the cutest expression on your face, your mouth contorts into a little o shape like you've made the greatest discovery in the world."

"Which you usually do, given how immaculate your designs always are." Junhui interjected, sensing the need to save their beta mate. "But it's your day off. Work can be left for now."

Wonwoo shifted a bit in the bed, carefully minding his bump. Sunny had decided to join them then, pushing her way into Wonwoo's arms, who readily accepted her. He petted her as he answered Junhui.

"I wasn't thinking about work, not really. Just a dress for DouDou and Sunny, something with lace."

Mingyu let out an excited giggle. "Our girls in matching outfits? Oh my god, that would be so cute."

It was clear Junhui agreed, but there's was concern at the surface as well, an alpha worried about their omega. "Very cute, but DouDou can't even wear clothes yet. I think we can let the idea rest for one day and come back to it."

Wonwoo, annoyed, sent a quick glance to Mingyu. "Lawyers just don't understand creatives, do they?" He looked back at Junhui. "You can't just sit on an idea unless you want to lose it forever. It at least has to be jotted down, or in my case, sketched out."

Junhui let out a huff, knowing where this was going. "For your information, I took theater and writing classes in university. I just happened to become a lawyer."

When Mingyu and Wonwoo gave him blank stares, he sighed. "I'll go get your tablet."

However, when Junhui handed him said tablet, Wonwoo's hands froze. "Jun, this isn't my tablet. Gyu, did you get a new one?"

Mingyu broke out into the widest of grins. "Happy birthday!"

Wonwoo blinked a couple of time, processing. He finally took the tablet and examined it over in his hands. It was a newer model, something he had seen once or twice in passing while scrolling on Instagram or TikTok, but he never paid it much mind. He had his first tablet, an older model, but it was the very first one he ever purchased with his own money he had saved up months for. It was back when he lived with Mingyu and Junhui, letting them provide while he discovered his passion. However, the screen was scratched, as he hadn't invested in screen protection until it was too late, it ran too slow, often causing errors in his work, and red would sometimes show up as green. He had mentioned his annoyance maybe once or twice, but it seemed his mates remembered. They always remembered. Now he had one of the best tablets, even nicer than Minghao's and they had expensive and nice things. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe how lucky he was.

"Oh my god. I don't even know what to say. It's beautiful." He whispered.

Mingyu gently turned it over for him showing him the back. In purple, was his initials and their anniversary. The sight finally made the tears fall from his eyes. However, his scent was sweater than ever, letting his mates know that they were happy tears.

"You guys never fail to amaze me. You're wonderful, both of you. Thank you so much." He gave each of them a kiss, leaving on top of Sunny's head so she didn't feel left out.

"Make dresses for our girls. I'm excited to see them." Junhui encouraged.

The rest of that morning was spent in bed, Junhui and Mingyu watching as Wonwoo carefully sketched out his designs. They cooed over them, imagining how cute their girls would be in their matching dresses. It was a low-energy birthday, but it wasn't any less special. He was surrounded by love, he didn't even needed the strawberry and chocolate cake or the presents (not that he would give them back either). All he needed was what he had, but his mates felt he deserved more, and that was what they intended to give him. Wonwoo may have been spoiled, but it was better to be loved than not at all.
