    Shane held out his hand, and Ilya slid the folder paper into it, letting his own hand linger. He then grasped it, as if he were about to shake Shane's hand, but instead brought it up to his lips, planting a soft kiss on the meaty part of it, right below his thumb.

    "Good night, Shane," Ilya smiled, turning towards the Cottage.

    Shane stood frozen, staring at Ilya's retreating form, the patch of skin where his lips had briefly touched burning. He unfolded the paper Ilya handed him and found a pencil drawing of a starflower, Trientalis Borealis, under a smattering of Cyrillic letters.

     In March of 1919 Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander paths cross on a movie set in Muskoka Lake.
