Another busy day, another busy Pippins.
Velliot sat quietly backstage, pulling their usual lazy card during what can be considered a rush hour. Yawning to itself as it waited around for anything interesting to happen, eyes trailing about their coworkers running around.
Eyes half lidding as they sighed to itself. Leg bouncing a bit as they moved their hand to feel the wall just behind them. Fingers applying pressure as they try to continuously focus on the current noises surrounding the studio.
Their fingers against the wall felt dull. Almost abnormal.
Their head turned to the wall, eyes squinting.
Yup. A normal wall, yellow green almost with stars. The usual wall.
What a fool they were thinking it was somehow different. Its hands were weird. Thinking something is different than what it was, head looking back in front of them, only to be met with the green one.
Their body did flinch, but their mind didn't move much to correlate with the action. A small huff escaped it as their hand quickly left the wall.
“Are you there now? You’ve been staring at the wall for a good few minutes you doughbrain!”
....Minutes? No, it wasn’t minutes, right? It was only a few seconds. It had to just be a few seconds, because who could even stare at a wall that long!
“... Walls are cool.”
Oh great fountain why did that wiggle into their mind first thing.
The Pippins just stared silently at each other, Velliot was a bit sure that GP was getting close to just going insane one of these days.
“Sure. Sure, just go with that, why not!” The Pippins just threw his hands up, having the usual manic grin he seemed to have half of the time, which immediately dropped as he looked back at Velliot, “What are you even doing anyways.” He scrutinized. His hands going to rest on his hips as he narrowed his eyes at Velliot.
“Nothin’, just watchin’ and stuff,” Velliot unconsciously waved its free hand, internally wondering on why their hand was even waving, “’Sides, aren’t you meant to be doin’ things currently?”
“I am doing something, and I am taking a moment away from it because you seem all out of it. I mean, who even stares at a wall for minutes at a time!” He would point out, his voice positioning back into his usual exasperated self.
“...” Velliot stayed silent at that, eyes squinting behind the sunglasses as their finger tapped into their face. Hiding their nervous smile behind their hand.
As the silence started to get more awkward, the Green Pippins just reached one of his hands out. Almost expecting something.
Velliot looked down at his hand, hesitating before just moving their free hand forward, taking his.
"Just come with me, you have better things do than just sit around doing nothing." He would say, a bit gruffly sure, but he did say it.
Velliot stared behind those sunglasses of its, their body moving almost on its own to stand up before being dragged away from their spot.
