The rain is unceasing.
A bedraggled raven caws unhappily, tucked as far as it can get beneath the shelter of an eave. Waiting in the forest would be far better, with the tangled branches and thick leaves breaking up the fierce wind and scattering fat raindrops, but no, it has a task to accomplish.
A task which, annoyingly, hinges upon the idiot down below, intentionally climbing into a canal.
