The day before his birthday Izuku learned that his childhood bestfriend, and secret boyfriend, was going to have a sleepover at his house. This obviously made him excited, he had missed Bakugo.
“Since Mitsuki is staying in our guest bedroom Katsuki will be staying in your room.” Inko popped her head into her sons room,
”Clean up in here, I’ll bring the extra mattress to put on the floor.”
As soon as she walked away Izuku started giggling, no way Katsuki was actually gonna sleep on the mattress. He still cleaned his room and set up the mattress with sheets, he needed to keep his mum in the dark. At 4pm the doorbell rang, followed by 4 loud bangs,
”LET US IN NERD!”
Izuku padded to the door, swinging it open with a smile on his face,
”Hi Kacchan! Hi Auntie!” He bowed when greeting Katsuki’s mother.
Katsuki pushed past Izuku, walking straight to the couch and flopping on it. He sprawled out, treating this like it was his own house.
”Young man say hi to your friend, I did not raise you like this!” His mother walked over and smacked the back of his head before going to her room.
”HEY! DONT HIT ME YOU OLD HAG!” He shouted at her back as she walked off, then turned back to see Izuku giggling, still standing next to the door.
”What are you laughing at dumbass?” He chucked a pillow.
Izuku caught the pillow, placing it on the other side of the couch before sitting next to his boyfriend.
“Oh nothing…” He sung, kicking his feet.
Katsuki looked around, both Inko and his mother were gone,
”I missed you too idiot…” He said quietly.
Izuku smiled, looking at his boyfriend. Then grabbed the controllers, turning on his console.
”I bet you can’t beat me in Super Smash Bros!” Izuku teased.
”Oh yeah? Im gonna wipe that stupid grin off your face.” Katsuki instantly locked in, sitting up so he could play better.
They played for a couple of hours, Katsuki obviously winning the bet, then Inko called them over to have dinner. At the table there was a giant feast, all of Izuku’s favourite foods.
“Wha—? Mum it’s not even my birthday yet!” He took a seat, gesturing Katsuki to sit next to him.
“I know but i wanted to spoil you, 16 is a big age!” She smiled softly, placing cutlery and plates on the table.
About halfway through dinner Inko announced something,
”Katsuki, dear. You’re gonna stay in Izuku’s room tonight so feel free to put your things in there, and try not to suffocate him in his sleep.” She gave a weak smile.
Katsuki paused before glancing at Izuku,
”Oh really?” He smirked, making Izuku’s cheeks turn pink.
Both their mothers watched this interaction, growing suspicious of their sons.
”Yeah… why did you look at him like that?” Inko paused with her fork halfway to her mouth.
”It’s nothing mum, he’s just excited.” Izuku stomped on Bakugo’s toes under the table.
”OW—! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!” Bakugo yelled, pushing Izuku by his shoulders.
”ENOUGH! Just eat your food boys!” Mitsuki yelled, tired of their bickering.
After dinner everyone played a board game, sitting around the living room table. The entire time they sat on the floor Katsuki’s hand was on Izuku’s thigh, causing Izuku to lose focus. To no one’s surprise Katsuki won by a landslide, giving Izuku’s thigh a quick squeeze before he spoke,
”OH YEAH IM THE BEST!!” He jumped up, sticking his tongue out at Izuku.
”Whatever.” Izuku tried to hide his smile by sarcastically rolling his eyes.
It was 8:30pm now so everyone decided to head to their rooms. In Izuku’s room Bakugo immediately jumped onto his bed, not even looking at the mattress on the floor meant for him.
“I knew you would do that Kacchan!” Izuku giggled, climbing next to Katsuki in the bed.
”it smells like you…” Katsuki’s voice was muffled by the sheets he decided to bury his face in.
”AWHH!” Izuku cuddled up next to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Bakugo was smiling now, he loved being close to Izuku. As they talked the tension in the room grew, Katsuki watched Izuku blabber about All might. ‘Ugh he’s so adorable, i can’t believe i get to kiss this cutie’ he thought to himself. As he got lost in his thoughts he started to stare blankly at Izuku’s lips.
”Uhh, Kacchan you’re staring…” He waved a hand in front of Katsuki’s face, giggling a little.
“Oh right sorry.” He shook his head quickly before shifting his attention back to Izuku’s rambling.
Him and Izuku conversed for a few hours, Bakugo smiling the whole time, making Izuku grow more and more flustered. Izuku had started talking about what All Might said to him after walking in on Izuku and Katsuki making out in the janitors closet when he noticed Katsuki was staring again. This time he had moved closer, look directly into Izuku’s emerald eyes.
”Stop teasing me Kacchan!” Izuku frowned, hitting his boyfriend’s shoulder.
”Your even more adorable when your angry.” Katsuki smirked, slapping Izuku’s butt. He doesn’t know what possessed him to do this, but he found it funny.
This immediately made Izuku’s stop hitting him, his face starting to turn red. Katsuki laughed at the smaller boys reaction,
”God you get flustered so easily!” He started to tear up from laughing so hard.
”Shut up!” Izuku was now hiding his face, his voice quiet and whiny.
This only made bakugo laugh harder. The green haired boy realised there was nothing he could say to make Katsuki stop teasing him, so he took a different route. He sat up and looked at Katsuki, making him freak out a little.
”w-what? Why are you staring at me nerd?!” The laughing stopped as Katsuki started to get flustered himself.
‘Perfect’ Izuku thought, then he leaned in quickly giving Katsuki a short peck on the lips. Swiftly turning around, rolling to the other side of the bed.
”HEY—!?” Bakugo was blushing now, before following Izuku to the other side, “You can’t just do that then try and run away!”
Izuku was giggling, his body pressed up against the wall with his back turned to the other. He himself was blushing now, covering his face with his hands. Katsuki was rowdy now, he needed more kisses before he exploded.
”That’s what you get for flirting with me all night!” Izuku shouted quiet enough so his mother wouldn’t hear.
”You asshole!” Katsuki grabbed Izuku, turning him around to face him, “Your gonna pay for that!”
Izuku blushed harder, his hands still over his face but his eyes uncovered. Katsuki moved his hands away before catching him in another kiss, this one longer. After they had pulled away to catch their breaths Katsuki’s pulled Izuku on-top of him, then they continued to make out.
Outside in the kitchen Inko and Mitsuki were decorating a cake, planning to surprise Izuku’s at midnight.
“I wonder what they’re doing now.” Inko said, piping dollops on the cake.
”They’re probably asleep, I taught Katsuki to sleep at 8pm every night!” Mitsuki called out, grabbing sprinkles from the top of the pantry.
”I thought he would stay up all night playing games with Izuku, they have gotten closer since starting UA.” Inko added.
”They have been really close lately, a few times I’ve actually heard Izuku sneaking into Katsuki’s room at night.” Mitsuki started to add sprinkles at the base on the cake.
”Really? I didn’t think Izuku would sneak out, I’ll have to tell him off…” Inko was shocked her son, who always followed the rules, was breaking them to see Katsuki.
”Eh, it’s normal teenage rebellion, atleast he’s not sneaking out to a party or to sleep around.” Mitsuki surprisingly didnt care, she was actually happy that they were getting along, “Maybe he’ll make Katsuki not be a little shit all the time.”
Inko snorted, Mitsuki was always funny like that. They finally finished the cake just in time, 12am exactly. They walked over to Izuku’s room, not knowing what was going on inside. Inko slowly opened the door, sneaking in almost silently. About halfway in she noticed what they were doing, her jaw instantly dropping.
”mmm… mmph.” Neither of them had noticed because their eyes were closed.
after a good minute of both their mothers standing there with their jaws dropped Inko finally screamed, dropping the cake out of her shaky hands.
“Mm—! MUM?” Izuku sat up, getting off of katsuki.
”WHAT—? WHY ARE YOU…!?” Inko was at a loss for words, her face wearing a horrified look.
meanwhile Katsuki just looked a little embarrassed, his mum just watched that for how long? Mitsuki was quiet, her face a little shocked but not crazy, Inko on the other hand was still malfunctioning.
”YOU GUYS—? HOW LONG…!?” She was looking between both of them, then she shouted, “YOU’RE GAY?!?”
Izuku’s face changed from flustered to panicked, that’s her reaction? Both Bakugo’s were trying not to laugh now, this was pure comedy. Izuku stood up, grabbing Katsuki’s wrist to drag him along.
“Come sit on the couch, i guess we have to explain now…” he smiled awkwardly, trying to hide his panic.
For the next hour Izuku and Katsuki explained everything, answering their mothers questions in between.
”Since the start of this year?!” Inko was shocked, she had assumed Katsuki hated Izuku after he found out Izuku got a quirk. Then she remembered how close they got and realised this is why.
”yep!” Izuku was gripping onto Bakugo’s hand, acting like squeezing it would make this conversation less awkward. After Inko had time to process she eventually calmed herself and hugged Izuku.
”Next time tell me about these things, what a waste of time with the mattress!” She kissed his cheek before moving back, “I’m sorry for my initial reaction, i was just shocked. I will always love and support you no matter what.” She gave her son a smile, tears welling up in her eyes.
Katsuki looked over to his mother, who looked normal.
“Mum? What about you?” He asked, his voice softer than usual.
”Oh I’ve known you were gay since you were little.” She let out a little laugh, “When you were three you told me that you thought Izuku was the prettiest person ever and that you wanted to marry him one day!” She slapped her knee, a few tears falling out of her eyes as she laughed.
Katsuki’s face turned bright red.
”I WHAT?!” He brought his hand up to his face, shaking his head.
”Yeah! This was when we still thought he was gonna have a quirk so you didn’t hate him that much, I’m surprised you don’t remember!” Mitsuki said between laughs.
“Awh Kacchan that’s adorable!” Izuku pinched Katsuki’s cheek.
Izuku helped his mum clean up the cake before laying back down in bed, Katsuki next to him. Inko stopped before closing the door,
”Don’t hurt eachother and pleaseeee don’t dirty the sheets—“
”MUM!?” Izuku shouted, “WE DONT DO STUFF LIKE THAT!” He resembled a tomato now.
”Really? Based on what i saw when i walked in—“
”OH MY GOD NO THATS AS FAR AS WE GO…!” Both of them looked mortified.
“Alrighttt…” she walked out, shutting the door quietly behind her. She sounded like she didn’t buy it, even though they weren’t lying.
Izuku turned to Katsuki, his face still red, he looked like he wanted to die.
”That was embarrassing…” Katsuki was about to laugh again.
”Why’d she think we would be doing that?!?” Izuku put his face on Katsuki’s shoulder, “Did it really look THAT bad?”
Katsuki just laughed, wrapping his arm around Izuku’s shoulders.
“Let’s sleep now, it’s like 5 hours past my bedtime.” Bakugo yawned, pulling the blanket over both of them.
In the morning they walked out together, Izuku grabbing Katsuki’s arm.
”So did you manage to keep the sheets clea—?”
“OH MY GOD MUM SHUT UP I TOLD YOU WE DONT DO THAT!” Izuku immediately got embarrassed again, Katsuki just burst out laughing.
