George was always excited for date nights, no matter what they were doing. Tonight was a simple one, dinner at a nice restaurant and maybe a walk along the water if they felt like it. George was in the kitchen, waiting for Addison to come out so they could head out. No matter how many times they went on dates George always got nervous before them and he knew Addison did as well. Addison came out of their room, fixing the collar on his shirt.
“You look amazing.” George said, a little breathless, as Addison walked towards him.
“Are you sure. I was going to wear the blue shirt but you were wearing blue and didn’t want us to match. Is the green okay, or should I change? I had a red one out but through the green would look better with your shirt.” Addison always got like this, nervous about how he looked. But George was always there to reassure him that he looked great.
“You like perfect, Adds. I promise.”
“You’re just saying that because you have to.” Addison still hasn’t looked at George, staring at the floor.
“Of course I’m not. You look perfect, you always look perfect. You could come out in sweatpants and an old shirt and I’d still think you look amazing. It’s not about what you’re wearing, it’s about you.” George stepped towards Addison, reaching out to grab him by the waist and pulled him in. He placed a gentle kiss to Addison’s forehead, causing the other man to blush.
“Thanks George.” Addison finally looked up at George, their eyes meeting.
“Of course. Now are we ready to head out for dinner.”
“Yeah let’s go before I change my mind.” Addison smiled at the other man before leaning forward and pressing a quick kiss against his lips. George smiled, taking Addison’s hand and walking out of the house, ready to start their date night.
