-no it isnt? mattel still gives g1 plenty of attention and you can literally just watch the old g1 content/the new comics, its never been that serious. Just because g3 and g2 exist doesn't mean g1 doesn't-they're like three separate continuities
"the g1 ghouls would bully g3 ghouls!"
-This take irritates me the most because its completely tone-deaf. Any mh fan who echoes this sentiment has literally never watched or paid enough attention to mh's content to actually understand that the ghouls' g1 counterparts would literally never act like this to their g3 counterparts. there's literally even a video on mh's instagram account that debunks this with all of them being completely cool with each other. You dont need to mischaracterise the ghouls just to reinforce hating g3, not only thats just dumb but thats literally never been the case.
also the thing about g1 cleo was that she was definitely mean but she also had a nicer side to her and got better as g1 went on. i'm pretty sure toralei's even been redeemed in the later webisodes + great scarrier reef and pride comic. literally the only characters that could fit that theory are probably nefera, manny taur and those bully vampires from fright on.

-i feel like any mh fan with opinions like this reveals a lot about who they actually are as people. If you hate g3, fair play to you- no one's clearly forcing you to like it, but you have no right to be ableist, racist or homophobic because you're upset about the fact that your favourite doll line has a reboot now. Acting bigoted isnt gonna make g3 go away-you can clearly hate something without being an asshole about it, its just that simple. Being critical is one thing but behaving this way isnt going to make you feel better/validated in your opinion or make g3 go away, youre literally just flat-out discounting Monster High's entire message.

i'll try to keep the summary short- you hate g2 and g3 due to nostalgia? Understandable, but they're reboots, naturally things are going to be different. They're again separate continuities and mattel still gives g1 attention.
you hate g3 because of how "childish" it is now? Sure, but you have to understand that at the end of the day it's supposed to be a franchise with children in mind-of course it's gonna be like that.
you hate the fashions, also fine, it doesn't have to be your cup of tea and that's perfectly okay.
You hate g3 because of the diversity, the disability rep, the body redesigns, the LGBTQ inclusivity? not okay whatsoever, that's actually terrible and you're absolutely invalidating monster high's message. No, your nostalgia bias/your belief that G1 is superior is neither here nor there.
and I say all of this as an mh fan who's been there since the literal beginning
