Work Text:
Blood. There was blood everywhere.
He couldn’t get it off his hands no matter how hard he tried.
It was as vivid as the first time, and every other time Cheng Xiaoshi bled out right here
in his arms. Dying before him no matter how much he begged and cried.
Lu Guang woke up with a start.
I need to see Cheng Xiaoshi. I need to make sure he’s alright.
Lu Guang looked over the railing, his heart
in his throat. He could barely make out Cheng Xiaoshi’s figure in the dim light…
…of his phone?
“Lu Guang?” Cheng Xiaoshi caustiously asked, evidently reading him like a book.
He couldn’t speak. He would flee, but there was no where to go.
“GuangGuang?” A sigh, not annoyed, though. “Come down here.” Cheng Xiaoshi scooted over, the look
on his face telling Lu Guang that this was not up for debate.
And, Lu Guang complied, climbing down the ladder and into Cheng Xiaoshi’s bed. Maybe he could beat fate.
