   Summary

   After one devastating Fourth of July shift, Samira is ready to leave emergency medicine and PMTC altogether.

   Abbot asks for six months. A transfer to night shift. A different team. One last chance from July to December. If she still wants to leave, he'll write whatever recommendation she needs.

   What begins as one last attempt to save a career, becomes six months of challenging cases, quiet mornings, a fight to change a system that so often fails its patients, and two physicians discovering that some things, some people, are worth fighting for.
