"Kohaneeeeeeeee! Over here!" An chirped, and Kohane followed the sound of her voice through the trees and into a small clearing, with a picnic basket and blanket.
An had asked her on this date, not telling her what it was, or what to wear. So Kohane just grabbed a white dress with sunflowers and lace. An had told her it was her favorite dress Kohane had, because the white complemented her face, and her favorite flowers are sunflowers. Kohane hadnt told her what she was wearing, so An was shocked at said dress.
"Kohane! You look so cute! You should wear that everyday. It really suits you." An complemented, making both girls giggle.
Kohane made her way over to the picnic setup, and sat down, only to lay back moments later, as she wanted to look at the clouds.
The clouds where puffy today, so they would probably see shapes.
"Oh, An-chan, look! That cloud looks like a cat." Kohane pointed to said cloud, and it resembled a cat, with pointy ears and a fluffy tail.
An layed down to look at the cloud Kohane pointed out. "Hm. I think it looks like a wolf. But your probably right." An sided with Kohane, to make her happy.
Kohane and An sat in silence for at bit, watching the clouds slowly go past.
One cloud looked strangely like the girl sitting next to her. "An-chan! That one looks like you. It even has your pins!" Kohane pointed to another cloud, and An brought her hand up and intertwined their fingers, and brought it down on the blanket.
"Wow, it does. Its sort of uncanny." An sounded shocked.
An sat up, and nudged Kohane to lay in her lap. Kohane put her head down, and An started to feed her strawberries from the basket. She let her, and noticed An cut them so they looked like hearts. She didnt say anything, though. She wanted to savor this moment until the end of time, as their dates where always the highlight of her week.
Once An had run out of strawberries, she wiped her hands and started brushing Kohanes hair with her fingers, as she very rarely had it down. Kohane noticed the movement, but kept looking at the sky, waiting for another cloud to point out.
An started looking too, and Kohane poked her cheek at the sight of another cloud.
But An said it first, "Kohane! That one looks like a heart. Its so small though!" An laughed, it sounded like the perfect song, a beautiful solo.
Kohane made a decision, she wanted to tell An she loved her. It was something they hadnt done as a couple yet. They both wanted to wait until they where sure. Kohane became sure in this moment. She knew she loved An. She knew she loved her laugh, her affection, her singing, amd everything else.
Kohane sat up while An was still laughing, and delicately placed her hands on her cheeks, and placed her lips on An's.
This shocked An, it being so sudden and all, but she didnt refuse it. She put her hands back in Kohane's hair, holding her steady.
Once Kohane pulled away, she closed her eyes and placed her forehead on An's.
"I love you An-chan. I know we wanted to wait until we where sure, but i know im sure now." Kohane whispered.
An slightly pulled back for a moment, before putting her forehead back on Kohane's.
"I-I wasnt sure at first, but when I saw you step out of the trees, I knew. Still, I wanted to wait until you said it, and now does seem like the perfect time to do it." An breathed, but Kohane noticed she didnt say it back, which made Kohane's shoulders sag a little. But her disappointment was short lived.
"I love you too, Kohane."
Kohane layed back down, looking at the clouds once again, but this time, her heart was the happiest it's ever been.
