Nia Nal waltzed into a book shop. This wasn’t just any book shop. It was her favourite. She had spent hours here, and knew every employee on a first name basis. But today, she didn’t come as Nia Nal, loyal customer. She came as Dreamer — famous superhero — because her worst enemy was in her sacred space. She faced Joanne Rowling, sitting at a table surrounded by Harry Potter books in the middle of a book signing.
Nia had once been a avid Harry Potter fan, but that had long changed since her childhood love was now a symbol against everything she stood for. Not just that, but the author she looked up became a personal foe.
“Joanne.” Nia said, looking her dead in the eyes.
“Dreamer.” Joanne stood up, she bounced across the bookshop, and punched Dreamer in the chest, throwing her through the window of the bookshop. “Take that you tranny!”
“Bitch.” Nia responded, pushing herself up.
Joanne ran towards Nia and tried to kick her in the face, but Nia caught her leg, and using her amazing superpowers, she spun Joanne around, and tossed her in the air. Nia jumped up, grabbed Joanne, and threw her to the ground. “You’ll never be a woman!” She screamed as she crashed.
Nia landed really awesomely, stood up, and held Joanne by the collar of her shirt. “Oh, is the crappy author sad? Joanne, you’re no feminist, you are just a symbol of gender-critical bullshit. Fuck off.”
Nia dropped her, and walked away as the crowd cheered.
