Oh, God.
“Mike?”
The boy looked a lot like he remembered. Dark curly hair, deep brown eyes, red cheeks and freckles everywhere from being under the Sun. But he also looked… handsome.
Will had always had a crush on Mike back then, but now he looked broader, his cheekbones looked sculpted by some Renaissance artist and he had these expressive eyebrows that were tilted upwards in surprise.
“Hey, yeah! Mike. You, uh, you remembered!”
Good. He hadn’t noticed the crush. Or how Will was barely holding his drooling right now.
or: will needed to get away for the summer but his past caught up to him anyways
