Summary
Tom sighed. “Okay.” He played a simple cord, before slapping his hands over the strings to silence it. “I didn't really mean to live here this long.”
Edd felt his heart drop.
“...With us?”
“I mean, not because of you.” He threw his head back, looking at Edd upside down. “Just in general. I did want to get my own place and all. But I'm… stuck here. And I'm stuck here with Tord.”
Edd went quiet. He wished he could wrestle Tom to the floor and stop him from voicing any of this. He wished Tom and Tord could get over each other, and get over this thing hanging between them. But that was selfish.
