Summary
The sun rises the morning after the end of the universe.
Catra is there to watch it happen, perched atop a shiny palace roof overlooking the newly thriving fields and forests of Brightmoon. It's perfect- or it should be. She's safe now, free from the horrors of her old life and the person she once was. But even love- a love that liberated galaxies from perpetual suffering- may not be enough to save her from the darkness within her.
Adora witnesses this only from the shadows. Catra needs time and space to heal- still, her helplessness grows as she watches Catra suffer in silence, holding close secrets that Adora wants only to bear herself. And as a growing sense of evil stretches across Etheria and her friends face a new danger that even she cannot combat, she begins to question the worthiness of her very existence. If she cannot save the very lives that matter most, is she really a savior at all?
