Sora, always known for being A student and well she’s trying her best in school. But, she also has a certain side quest other than being a perfect student. That was her matchmaking her teacher, well her target was specifically one of her mentors, Lloyd Garmadon. Well he was still in his late 20s and unfortunately he has 0 experience in romance. Like that guy has no rizz and a bi panic whenever there’s someone that shows him affection. Yeah that’s the reason why she wanted to set him up with someone else instead, and she already listed a few people on it.
“So you’re telling me that you want to matchmaker Lloyd with someone else?” Euphrasia asked while she’s texting her girlfriend about the news as Sora just nodded off. She already had it all planned as she dropped her notebook on the table and gave her choice of bachelor/bachelorette of a potential one that suits Lloyd. “I have it all planned out here!” she simply said and let Euphrasia look at her notes, while she then proceeded to forward it to her girlfriend, Jordana. Well later she got a message from her saying ‘that was really detailed and devoted ideas’.
“She said it was really intense and devoted too” Euphrasia said as she listened more to what Sora was planning. That made Sora smile brightly as she then kept planning stuff, “so who’s the potential suitors?” Euphrasia asked again, then Sora took a look at her choice. To be fair there was a lot but from what she heard and observed she got at least 5 candidates.
“Let’s see, we have Harumi, Brad, Akita, Chad and also Morro. Yeah that’s all the candidates that I could think of!” she exclaimed while continuing to think of how to make sure Lloyd could choose one of them. Until the boys came, Arin, Percival and Frak came to the scene of them in the middle of discussion. “Maybe they could help?” Euphrasia asked as she saw them walking, “you’re right! Hey guys! Can you all help us for a second?” Sora shouted at them, which later the three then looked at her and went to her.
Arin was the first one to approach them with a little bit of confusion, “Oh hey you two, what’s with the commotion?” he called out to them as Sora showed them her plans. “I was kinda planning if you guys want to help me with something like matchmaking Lloyd with someone else!” She exclaimed and explained her plans to them, to which Frak was still confused, and Percival was kind of sceptical with the plan.
“Matchmaking someone else? I don’t know Sora, it’s kinda not supposed to be our business too” he tried to be reasonable but Sora didn’t listen to him. He also didn’t trust her since he always knew Sora was the logical one and not this type. “Don’t you think its kinda weird tho? I mean you’re more logically thinking more than thinking stuff like this… what changes?” he asked his friend about it instead.
That made Sora smile, and instead pointed out to Lloyd headed. “You see Lloyd over there? Well I decided I want to help him. Since well… he’s kinda not having the game in any romance”
“And you think you have?” Frak asked back, to which Arin elbowed him with a small snort. “I mean he got a point there, it’s his personal life and we can’t interfere with his love story. Besides, I think he suits with Akita more, since she’s Lloyd’s friends” Arin said, while the other three just face palmed into their own hand. “Akita? Seriously? He’s more compatible with either Brad or Harumi! Forget about Chad the cheerleader, he’s kinda a bully to Lloyd” Sora grumbles while scratching Chad’s name out of the list.
“Those two really? Weren’t they also as bad as Chad? With Brad kinda backstabbing him when they were kids and Harumi basically hating Lloyd’s life?” Arin tried to reason with Sora but it looks like they ended up with them two quarrels instead. Debating who’s more suitable for Lloyd’s. “Oh please, Arin, you also kinda bad at this love cupid stuff. How would you know?” while both of them kept fighting, let’s just say Euphrasia, Frak and Percival leaving them alone while they went somewhere else instead.
Meanwhile from far ahead, Lloyd was walking with Morro. Apparently, he was just done with his training and well Lloyd did ask him to pick him from the school. “Thanks for picking me up, being a teacher is really tiring me out…” he said while grabbing onto Morro’s arm while he’s complaining about his work here and there. Morro only snorted and ruffled Lloyd’s hair, “if being a teacher tiring you out, imagine me being a rehabilitation teacher” he said as the two kept walking side by side.
Sora and Arin then stopped their quarrel and saw both Lloyd and Morro walk past them, not noticing them but instead too deep on their own conversation. “There's a new crepe store open near the monastery, we should go there today!” the blond suggested to the raven as he rolled his eyes, “you only telling me that because you want me to pay it for you” he then flicked Lloyd’s head as the blond only laughed and both continued to walk and even talking about their next date destination.
“All this time… Lloyd was already dating Morro?!” Sora screamed to her book in annoyance, while Arin just looked over to the couple and at Sora misery. He couldn’t help but to snort a little then decided to comfort her, by taking out a cat plushie that he always carries in his bag. “Here, you look like a mess” he gave her the plushie and Sora took it from him as she hugged it tight. “Ughhh… how should I know that Lloyd was already dating someone else??? Now I’m definitely ruined for good!” she groaned onto the plushie, Arin could only sigh in defeat as he later grabbed Sora and take her home.
“There is still next time for the other you know? C’mon i’ll treat you some ice cream” he simply said while patting her head as to comforting her while they went home.
Next time he said, ‘maybe if it was for him with her that is’ Arin thought to himself as they walked to the ice cream store on the way while taking the defeat for the day.
