Demigods go to Hogwarts

Summary:

What if Albus Dumbledore wanted something to lift everyone's spirits, after Voldemort? He sends Chiron a letter, of course.

Notes:

This fic came after reading one of those posts about how Percy would take Harry to the cleaners. So I thought "Why not have some more people join in the fun?"

Story starts in Hogwarts' 8th Year for Harry and Co. For the demigods, this is post the Giant War.

Chapter 1: First contact

Chapter Text

Chiron smiled as he opened the letter from his good friend, Albus P.W.B. Dumbledore. Twenty minutes later, he walked towards Dionysus. The Olympian raised an eyebrow and read the letter. There was a chuckle that exited the Olympian's mouth, which ended up being a full-blown laughter session.

Chiron waited for his nephew to finish laughing. "Well, thoughts?"

"You want to go easy on them?"

"Not decided."

"Let me get this to Olympus, they need a few laughs."

An hour later, Dionysus returned. "Let's send our toughest. Hecate said that these are her children, in essence."

"They'll need to be trained, and given appropriate items."

Dionysus locked eyes with Chiron. "Are you seriously concerned about money?"

"A bit. We could need this to be official, you know."

"Stuff and nonsense. I have a list given by Hestia, about who our top picks should be."

"Very well. Let's see."

"It's basically the Big Three kids, uncle."

"Artemis will not relinquish Thalia & Bianca, even if I assure her that they will not die."

"Then we are two short. And brains will not win these battles, we need power. Raw power."

"Maybe Clarisse? Or William Solace?"

"No to both. William is a healer, Clarisse is a risk, if the blessing of Ares kicks in. That's not something even Ares can control on his children. We would need to look at Mars' kids." Dionysus said.

"Frank, in that case?"

"Yes. His unique set of skills will not be something they will be able to counter easily, not in a one-on-one situation."

Chiron nodded. "Plus, his version of bloodlust is gentle. He'll subdue, not kill."

"What about Valdez?"

Chiron blanched. "Too risky, more than Clarisse."

Dionysus frowned. "Explain."

"They have a fire spell, I cannot even say or write it. It feeds on magic, and can turn on the caster as well. If Leo decides to get too close, let's just say that Hogwarts will become the new Junkyard of the Gods."

"By that logic, we shouldn't send Jason either, since they have brooms. No one will be perfect, but we can better our chances of winning with this team." Dionysus closed his eyes, as if praying.

Chiron nodded. "So, we have a boy who turned down immortality, a boy who can channel his father's lightning like the perfect conduit, a necromancer who loves a healer, a girl who can probably crash economies of many countries, a pyromaniac in love with a Titaness, and a shapeshifter who could potentially take on forms of magical animals."

Dionysus' grin was unsettling. "What could go wrong?"

After getting the six of them to the Big House, Chiron explained what he knew about the Wizarding World. Dionysus pitched in to fill in some gaps in Chiron's knowledge. At first, no one said anything. Then Nico asked, "We will need wands, you said."

"Yes. Your sires are on their way to help with that."

Percy groaned. "Please never refer to them like that again. Also, isn't it a bit sexist that we only have one girl on the team?"

Leo shook his head in response. "We can't ask your two cousins to join, since they got boosts from the Huntress herself. I think the closest we can get is..." His voice trailed off, and his smile widened. Before he could say anything, a column of shadow erupted behind Chiron.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT! LEO VALDEZ, THAT WILL NOT BE HONOURABLE!" The shadows vanished, revealing Hades in his glory. His dark eyes bored into the pyromaniac.

Jason frowned. "What was Leo going to say?"

"Well, dear nephew, since you asked politely, he was going to suggest a dip in the Styx."

Percy choked. "No. Not that."

Hades turned and smiled at Percy. "Thank you for backing that up, nephew. Now, I'll wait for the others to come, then we give you the wands."

Frank was in deep thought. He could be considered an animagus by the magicals, but he knew that if he wanted results, he'd have to go to extreme lengths. Just then, Poseidon, Hephaestus, Mars, and Jupiter popped in. They all locked eyes with their children.

Poseidon started, "Right, weapons on the table. We'll have some fun."

Percy's sword, the same one he'd had since the age of 12, Riptide, was transformed into a Coral wand with the core of a pegasus feather.

Jason's sword, given to him by Hera a year ago, was transformed into an Imperial Gold wand, with the core of an eagle feather.

Nico's sword twisted itself and turned into an Stygian Iron wand, with the core of Cerberus' claw.

Hazel's cavalry sword shrunk until she was looking at a Obsidian wand, with the core of a Chimera fang.

Leo's trusty hammer floated up and folded in on itself to form a wand made out of all five metals (Imperial Gold, Artemis Silver, Celestial Bronze, Stygian Iron, and Human Steel), with the core of a Drakon fang.

Mars smiled at Frank. "You're going to enjoy this one, kiddo." Frank's bow snapped itself in half, the string wrapping around both parts and making them smaller. The wand glowed red for a moment, before turning to a dull grey.

Frank raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Go on, tell your friends."

Frank scowled. "The wand is made of iron, specifically from the blood of every enemy I have killed. I assume the core is a boar's tusk?"

"Not just any boar. My personal boar."

Jupiter eyed all of them. "I expect success, do no disappoint me."

The other gods gave their children better encouragement. Once they flashed out, Percy asked, "When do we leave?"

Dionysus smiled back. "One month. Your mother has already been informed. Your wands will transform back into the weapons you prefer, so don't worry about that. After all, you'll need to keep up with your training, even at Hogwarts."

Hazel tapped the table nervously. "How are we supposed to keep our heritage hidden?"

Leo smirked. "No one said anything about that. We are half-bloods, let's own it. Anyone asks, our dads are from Greece, and Percy's mum is our mum."

Chiron facepalmed. "Phrasing, Leo! Work on your phrasing!"

"Yeah yeah, old man. Don't get your tail in a twist."
