    "Singing a courtship song to Grace while ey falls asleep has become part of their nightly ritual. It is different than singing with Adrian; when they sang to each other, their voices joined in harmony, and the song resonated with their mutual pleasure. But Grace is human. Ey has no concept of what the song means between Eridians, and no way of singing the song back to Rocky, even if ey wanted to. There is no harmony here, merely a one-way message of love that Grace is incapable of sending back.
