Old Harem System (1972–2006)

Each Consort represents a flower bestowed by the Emperor.

Each one had a distinctive color bestowed by the Emperor
When they attained the rank of Imperial Consort, they married the Emperor and legally took his surname.
- Concubines (eight)
It was the rank that underwent the most changes.
They did not bear the Emperor’s surname.
Their clothing was white, and their jewelry could be any color except those worn by the Imperial Consorts—the red of the Empress or Emperor Consort and the color green.
If they came to be of interest to the Emperor, they might be granted a distinctive color.
- Laddies (fifteen)
Their uniforms had to be gray.
They rarely advanced in rank.
For the most part, they served as a support system for families, kings, or politicians.
New Harem System (2006 - ...)
- Empress or Emperor Consort (one)
Unoccupied
The predominant color will be red.
Its flower will be chosen by the Emperor.
It may use any color it wishes.
- Imperial Consort (four)
Only one position filled
Once one attains the rank of Imperial Consort, a union with the Emperor is celebrated, and the surname Slytherin is granted.
Bellatrix Slytherin-Black will cease to be Imperial Consort as soon as the 2006 Selection is declared over.
The color for Imperial Consorts will be yellow, regardless of shade or variation.
Their jewelry and clothing may be coordinated with the color assigned by the Emperor.
Each Imperial Consort will be assigned a flower by the Emperor.
- Noble Consort (six)
Six seats are filled (With Harry's position filling them out).
The predominant color is black.
They do not have a flower.
They do not bear the Emperor's surname.
Their jewelry and clothing may be coordinated with the color assigned by the Emperor.
- Royal Concubine (eight)
Four seats are filled.
The predominant color is blue in all its shades and variations.
They have no assigned flower.
They do not bear the Emperor’s surname.
Their jewelry and clothing may be coordinated with the color assigned by the Emperor.
- Concubine (ten)
Four seats are filled.
The predominant color is white.
They do not have a flower.
They do not have a personal color.
They may only wear white, silver,
or gold jewelry.
They do not bear the Emperor’s surname.
- Attendant (fifteen)
Eight seats are filled.
All the new members (except for Harry) take their seats.
Their designated color is beige.
Their jewelry can only be silver or gold.
They do not have the Emperor’s last name.
They do not have a flower.
They do not have a personal color.
Only the Emperor may choose the personal color of his Consort or Royal Concubine. No one else, except for the Emperor himself and his royal children, may wear the color designated for each of them.
The primary colors of each rank may be used subtly or in jewelry, but personal colors may not be used under any circumstances. The chosen color can never be replaced, even in death (unless an act of betrayal is committed), nor can it be offered to anyone else.
In addition to the color, the Emperor gifts his Consort or Royal Concubine a tiara or crown that will represent him and demonstrate his interest.
The more magnificent the crown or tiara, the more interested the Emperor is.
Harry Potter-Black was the first person in the entire history of the Harem to be directly elevated to a rank higher than that of a Concubine. This was something never seen before.
He was also the first person to receive a necklace instead of a crown, and the fact that he received it demonstrates just how unique he is and the Emperor’s great interest in him.
Harry’s necklace is worth far more than any crown possessed by any Consort or Concubine (no one needs to know this).
Finally, Harry was assigned the color green as his personal color. A forbidden color and widely known to be the Emperor’s favorite.
