Work Text:
Arthur doesn’t think he’s ever seen anyone this hot before. The man on the other side of the bar was so hot in an effortless way, like he didn’t even know how hot he was. But he was just out living his life looking like that. It wasn’t fair. But Arthur was no quitter, he was determined to find out the man’s name before the night was over. He was with another man who was just about as hot but still not as good as his mystery guy He’s been watching them closely all night and was not getting relationship vibes from them, just friend vibes. Arthur has maybe had one too many drinks, but he knew he needed some courage to approach the absolute man of his dreams. Arthur made day way across the bar, trying his best to walk straight and not stumble all over the place and look like an idiot, before leaning against the table where the mystery man was sitting with his friend. Both looked up when Arthur slammed his hands down on the table.
“Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?” Arthur said, staring down at the hot guys, completely ignoring his friend.
“What?” The man asked, cheeks tinged pink.
“Heaven, you know. Angel, you know because you’re so hot you can’t possibly be from this world.” Arthur was sure this interaction was going great.
“What?”
“Oh my god. Can I have your name and number or not?”
“I don’t know your name either.”
“Arthur Leclerc.” Arthur was getting impatient and a little embarrassed. This was going to go so much smoother in his head, but it seemed to all be falling apart now.
“Oscar.”
“I’m Logan too by the way, if you care at all.” Arthur had honestly forgot about the other man sitting at the table, but he couldn’t care less about him to be honest.
“Yeah hi, anyways. Can I have your number now? Please.” Arthur barely spared a glance at the other man, too focused on Oscar. Arthur never thought the name Oscar could sound so good, but he was clearly mistaken. It was now his favourite name in the world.
“Yeah I think you can.” Oscar smiled at Arthur. While Arthur came on strong Oscar found it endearing, maybe he could give the other man a chance.
