Summary
After Hawke and Varric finally get together, life seems like a dream. Until Leandra's death turns it into a nightmare. Rocked to her core by her family's continued untimely deaths, Hawke decides to put distance between herself and the man who would insert himself into said family to keep him from suffering the same fate (to be fleshed out in a later fic). Now, after some time, they both begin to realize that they simply cannot stay away from one another. Some things cannot be stopped - like the desires of the heart... or the machinations of Mother Nature.
