Notes:

ALL CHARACTERS ARE OWNED BY DISNEY AND MARVEL

First time writing something like this so it may be great it may be terrible who knows.

I have load of ideas and crossovers I would like to make happen in this and am happy to have others give ideas.

I am not going to write anything with romantic relationships.

I have never played twisted wonderland so my knowledge is based heavily on the anime and the gameplay script :)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

It was late and all Peter wanted to do was find somewhere warm to stay and re-energise himself before he even tries going back to being Spiderman. The sky is clouded over with the familiar feeling of rain beginning to fall.

It’s cold and damp as Peter trudged through the streets of Queens trying to find somewhere, where he can be sheltered from the oncoming storm. After all, ever since the spider bite he has always felt the cold differently from others due to his bodily lack of thermoregulation.

As he walked he came across a bus stop and decided to have a rest for a minute before continuing on his search. He would have been able to continue had he not been so injured from his fight with the goblin.

The tingling sensation of his healing factor working in the background to knit his skin back together on his legs and shoulders. The warm feeling of blood making its way back into his body and clotting to prevent further loss.

Now as he slumps down on the bench closing his eyes as his hearing extends around him, adjusting to the new senses he hears some sort of pounding of hooves.

It must have been a coincidence, someone must be watching a horse program or whatever. But as Peter sat there shivering from the cold as his thin clothes do nothing to keep the chill from seeping into his bones, and his ripped spider suit underneath doing nothing but allowing it he began slipping into unconsciousness.

His body is tired and so is his mind.

He has lost everyone he has ever loved and can do nothing about it but watch from the sidelines as they all continue to live their lives without him.

He does not notice as the sounds of hooves get closer… and closer… till it stops altogether.

The last thing he hears before his body slumps down onto the bench as the familiar feeling of sleep overtake him is “take the hand out before you, hold on tight and don’t let go, as you shall be taken to a world where you shall know” and the faint feeling of being carried as darkness clouded his mind.

“Rest little one… you have endured far more than enough.”

———

The room shrouded into darkness as all that can be seen is a mirror floating above a bath of green fire. The metal frame twisted into to form vines and thorns in an intricate design as a face emerged from the swirling depths of the darkness within the glass.

The face hidden with a mask of deception and grace as someone stepped before it.

“Ah, my dear esteemed benefactor…

My proud, beautiful flower of evil.

You truly are the fairest one of all.

O magic mirror, thy wisdom I entreat…

Reveal unto me the visage I seek…

You, whose imagine the dark mirror did beckon forth…

If your heart bids it, take the hand of the one reflected in the mirror.

As flame reduces even the stars to ash

As ice seals away even time itself

As great trees swallow even the sky

Fear not the power of darkness.

Now— demonstrate your power.

To me. To them. To yourself.

The hour grows long, and time is scarce.

Keep steady your grip, no matter what may come…”

Silence surrounded the room as a storm raged on outside, the sounds of thunder and rain being met with the steady clicks of a heel walking out of the room and into the night.

The mirror shimmered faintly in the dark as a swirling storm of green light flooded the room.

“You have fought well and endured more than one should…

You deserve a place to rest along with those who can help and guide

Your powers you shall hide

But everything always comes to light.

You are strong beyond your years

And still fight with all your fears.

Come now and rest your head

As the ….. …… your world once knew

Was forced to be forgotten and sent away.”

The swirling light disappeared as it came as the world was shrouded in the darkness of night.

The storm outside began to slow and disperse and bring forth a peaceful slumber.
