Summary
Jaskier had spent his whole life basking in the glow of a name that was adored and praised. Jaskier's cousin, just six months older than him, had lingered in the shadows, collecting grudges and grievances like finely crafted daggers. In the wake of the Jaskier's eighteenth birthday and presentation as Omega, Ferrant de Lettenhove was finally given the opportunity and ammunition to unsheathe those weapons.
Married off to King Radovid V (or Radovid the Stern, Ferrant gleefully tells him), Jaskier loses his life, his music, his freedom, as he is ripped from peaceful Lettenhove and thrown into the bed of the man orchestrating a looming war against magic and its weavers. A war which he plans to bring to the Witchers.
