    Summary

The Persezelos Cycle, Book One: Persezelos Neos — the new god, the displaced god, and the god who arrives before his own mythology.

Percy remembers a future that has not happened: Olympus standing, Annabeth’s hands, Sally’s kitchen, Grover’s laughter, and every child history will ask to bleed for divine mistakes.

The ancient gods remember none of it.

To them, Percy is a nameless thing dragged from the sea — poisoned, prophetic, and already carrying worship beneath his skin. Poseidon calls him son. Demeter calls him hers. Hades builds him a throne. Athena remembers a woman not yet born.

Then Zeus throws Hephaestus from Olympus.

    This time, Percy catches him.

One rescued child becomes a family. The family becomes a sanctuary. Every life Percy saves changes the myths he remembers, and every god who loves him binds him closer to an age never meant to keep him.

The future still needs to exist. Zeus is still meant to rule it.

And Percy is becoming powerful enough to drown them both.

Sing, O Muses, of Persezelos — the God Who Came Too Early, the Drowned One Who Returned, Saint of Sinners, Keeper of the Forsaken, and he before whom no child wanders alone.
