Lewis loved the little community garden his community had, if only he didn’t keep killing everything he planted. When he bought one of the garden boxes he had big plans, plans to plant as many vegetable he could and maybe some flowers. It didn’t last long. He went everyday to watery them and after a few weeks his plants weren’t doing well. The ones that were starting to grow seemed smaller than the ones in the other boxes and some weren’t growing at all. He was a little sad, he just wanted some fresh vegetable for himself but it was looking like that wasn’t going to happen. Lewis was sitting on the ground looking at his sad garden bed of brown, shrivelled up plants when a voice came from behind him.
“Everything alright?” Lewis turned to see another man standing behind him, covered in dirt and looking very happy.
“Not really. What’s the opposite of a green thumb because that’s what I have?”
“Not having much luck with your plants?”
“Not really. I can’t seem to get anything to grow properly. I come everyday to water them and check on them but they don’t seem to want to grow.”
“Do you want some help? I kinda oversee the community garden so I help people out when needed.”
“That would be great, if you don’t mind.” Lewis stood up so he was now facing the other man.
“Of course My name’s Sebastian.” Sebastian held his hand out for Lewis to shake.
“Lewis.” Lewis wasn’t sure what he was feeling but he knew it was something that might become something more.

Over the next few weeks Sebastian helped Lewis with his garden and after a few weeks Lewis finally had stuff growing and was developing a friendship with Sebastian. Lewis was happy to see Sebastian today so he could show off what was growing. When Lewis noticed Sebastian approaching he got excited.
“Seb, look. There’s tomatoes growing. They’re still quite small but it’s something.” Lewis couldn’t stop smiling, showing the little tomatoes growing on the vine to Sebastian.
“See I knew you could do it. Sometimes all you need is a little guidance. Before long everything will be growing and you won’t even need me anymore.” Lewis didn’t like the sounds of that. He was really enjoying Sebastian’s company and wasn’t ready for it to be over.
“Maybe we could still do something, outside of here?”
“Yeah I’d like that.” Sebastian was blushing and Lewis thought it was cute, the pink tinge to his cheeks was very cute. Lewis was hoping the friendship was going to go somewhere, besides just vegetables and a garden.
