Work Text:
Will couldn’t imagine a more perfect day; the weather was perfect and he had just married his best friend. Mack looked perfect, but he always looked perfect to Will. Now was the best part of the night, dinner was done and now it was time to party. The music was loud and most people were on the way to being drunk. Their friends and family were there with them with Mack and Will in the middle. Mack was definitely drunk, hanging off of Will as they danced. Will couldn’t believe this is the man he was going to spend the rest of his life with, he was so perfect and their life was going to be perfect.
Will finally got Mack sitting down for a bit and drinking some water. Gabe and Leno were sitting at the table as well, which Will should have figured would become a problem. It was alright until they started talking about their college days, which Will should have shut down long before he actually did.
“Will totally had a crush on you in college. He would have totally denied it if asked but he did.” Leno said, causing Gabe to starting laughing. Will was really regretting his decision to sit Mack at this table.
”You had a crush on me? That’s so embarrassing.” Mack giggled, bumping his shoulder against Will’s.
“We’re married!” Will said.
“But still, so stereotypical to have a crush on your college rival. Sounds like a romance movie and probably a bad one at that.”
“Should I ask your brother about you? What would be say?” Mack’s face paled, eyes wide. He shook his head violently, worrying Will that he was going to hurt his neck.
“No, no, don’t do that. That’s fine, just sit right here.” Mack climbed out of his chair and into Will’s lap.
“Do you need to do that?” Gabe asked. As much as him and Leno both pretended to be disgusted by their relationship neither could deny that they’ve never seen Will happier; and that’s what really mattered.
“My husband. I can do what I want with him.” Mack leaned in and pressed his lips against Will’s. Will wrapped his arms around Mack’s waist. This was his husband, he’s been waiting years for this and he wasn’t about to let anyone ruin this day for him, including his best friends. Mack was his husband and that’s all that matters to him.
