“It’s alright Alex, breathe.” George said, kneeling beside Alex as he threw up.
“I’m fine. You don’t have to be here.” Alex said when he was finally done, sitting back on his heels. George reached around him, flushing the toilet.
“Of course I do. Do you think we can get you back in bed? Or do you need another minute?”
“I’m okay, I think. I’l like to lay down now.” George helped Alex up off the floor. Getting Alex back in bed was a slow process but before long he was laying down. He finally felt like the room wasn’t spinning around him no these he was laying down. George sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his fingers through Alex’s hair.
“Do you need anything? Think you can keep anything down yet?”
“I’d just like to sleep for a bit.”
“Alright. Want me to stay?”
“Please.” George continued running his fingers through Alex’s hair until he was sure the other man was asleep. Once he was sure Alex was asleep he slipped out of the room to gather supplies. He filled at water bottle with a straw with some water, easier for Alex to sip on. He made some tea as well in case Alex wanted it. He made sure he had some medication on the bedside table before climbing into bed, sitting on the side not occupied currently by Alex.
Alex slept for just over an hour before slowly waking up, rolling over so he was now facing George. George set his phone down, ready to get anything Alex might need. Alex didn’t move or say anything for a few minutes, just trying to get his barrings about where he was and how he was feeling.
“Feeling any better Alex?”
“A bit, not so nauseous right now.”
“Think you can sit up and have some water? Or I got some tea steeping if you’d prefer that.”
“Water would be great.” George helped Alex to sit up, allowing the other man to lean against him. George held the bottle, guiding Alex to take small sips from the straw so he didn’t make himself sick.
“Why don’t we watch a movie for a bit? Let you continue to rest. Do you think you can stomach any food yet, it wait a bit longer?”
“Movie sounds great. No food yet, I don’t think I can eat anything without vomiting right now.” George picked a random movie that he’s sure they’ve seen countless times. Alex fully cuddled into George, laying his head on George’s shoulder. George wrapped his arm around Alex, rubbing his stomach to hopefully make him feel better.
