The sound of the door closing behind her echoes uncomfortably in the now silent room. When it dissipates, Cassidy clears his throat, gaze still hefted on the now closed door.
“Hanzo Shimada joining Overwatch, huh?” he speaks into the room. His voice is calm.
“If Genji wishes so, once he’s safe.” He gives back.
“Sure you didn’t have anything to do with it yourself? With Genji bein’ gone?” He shoots back, turns around to face him now.
His voice was still neutral on the surface but carried something dark and resentful with it.
A little self-deprecating part of Hanzo relished in the scrutiny. Relished in the justice to be mistrusted after what he did.“If it hadn’t been for Kiriko’s help I would still be a prisoner of the Hashimoto myself. Genji came to our aid and got captured in the process. The least I can do is help saving him now.”
“Awfully kind o’ you.” Cassidy rumbles back.
“One must start somewhere, I suppose.”
