Chapter Text
Katie climbs up her stairs at her head quarters hanging up photos on the second floor. She puts up her second photo before she gets a *ding* from her communicator. Katie takes her communicator out of her lab coat and reads the message.
Ashswag whispered to you: “Katie Regime now. Important. Hurry.”
Weird she thinks to herself before coming up with a reply and sending it.
You whisper to Ashswag: “otw one sec”
Katie rolls her eyes as she puts the communicator back in her lab coat pocket and grabs her warp stone and thinks of the regime. Purple particles surround her and she teleports to the regime. Katie takes a few steps forward getting used to her new surroundings, and feeling a little nauseous and dizzy.
Katie makes her way up to the great pentathlon and once she climbs the wall she sees, Ash, Don and Ewron. Katie already knows they’re gonna try and make her cut ties with her new family, cut her off or yell at her again. She walks inside the great pentathlon and sits in her pink chair beside her older brother Don.
“Hello, what was so important that you needed me here so fast? And why is Ewron here?” Katie asks her younger brother Ash. “Don’t mind him Katie that’s not important right now, what’s important is your new freak family.” Ash says the last part with a scoff.
“They’re not freaks Ash, but what, what do you need to say about them now?” Katie replies while holding back an eye roll. “Why, why do you hang out with those murders more than your own siblings.” Don mutters under his breath. Katie scoffs at what Don says and puts her attention back onto Ash.
“They murdered Juan, they chip people, you hang around a freak/mad scientist, your ‘child’ goes around kidnapping and hitting people. You can cut them off Katie. We can protect you from them, whatever they’re holding against you we don’t care. But, Katie you’re in danger around them.” Ash says with concern not even caring for an explanation.
Katie lets out a chuckle at what Ash says. “First of all, my family okay they’ve hurt like 3-6 people so what?! They’d never hurt me. They’ve never lied to me, they trust me and they also believe in me. None of you guys have done any of that so please tell me why I shouldn’t leave right now.” Katie says with her voice raised a little bit higher than before.
“Bestie please, we’re just trying to help you-” Ewron says before Katie cuts him off. “No, no, no you can’t be talking.” Katie says with a laugh, “You’re genuinely the worst person I’ve ever met. Sorry cockroach not person. You betrayed me all the time, you planted uranium in my kfc, you try to kill me you made me a fool of myself. You sold me to the Dark Federation, you shouldn’t even be here. You should’ve stayed in that stupid temple of your dark daddy master or something.”
Katie stares at the three people that she used to consider family and besties with. Now, all they are to her are people that just lie and use her. “I’m leaving, I don’t care u can try to stop me but I’m gonna leave anyways. Bye.” Katie says barely yelling.
She walks out of the great pentathlon and take sour her warp stone and just thinks of a place. Purple particles surround her again as she teleports to CNE. The purple particles clear out of her vision and she heard alarms going off but she barely pays them any attention.
Katie walks into the decontamination area and presses the button as water drenches her. She doesn’t know why Multi insists she does it whenever she enters and leaves but it keeps him at ease so she does it.
“Multi, where are you?” Katie calls out after she gets out of the decontamination room/area. She hears footsteps on her left and she barely flinches as she realizes that it’s Multi coming down the stairs. “Hey, Multi how have you been?” Katie asks in a barely shaky voice.
“Kurwa, Katie what’s wrong? But I’m doing alright. Also I like your fit it’s very us.” He mutters there last part under his breath so she doesn’t hear it. “What happened why do you look so…” Multi stares at her then traces her face with his eyes. “Distraught? Did someone hurt you? Did something happen to kfc again? Talk to me Katie please.”
Katie stares at Multi for a few more second wondering why he’s being so nice to her all of a sudden. “Multi, are you okay? Why are you acting so, so, nice?” Katie replies as she stares into his eyes a flush forming a little on her cheeks.
“Katie, don’t avoid my questions what happened, I’m just concerned Katie. I can’t have Nacho seeing his mother so upset.” He says as his head nods to try and convince her that nothings wrong and he’s here for whatever she’s going through.
Katie lets out a wobbly smile as the mention of their son Nacho and she sighs. “Ash messaged me to go to the regime and when I showed up him, Don and Ewron where waiting for me. It was like some kind of intervention for our family.” She says the last part with her voice shaking.
“They said that you were bad for me and I could leave and that I was safe with them. Then Ewron started saying that he wanted me to be safe or something. I don’t know how they believe his lies. I don’t know how they believe theory own lies. They don’t care for me I realize it now. I realize they only acted liked they cared once I started leaving them.” A tear comes from her eye as she finishes what she says.
Multi brings his hand up to her face and hold her cheek for a few seconds then he uses his thumb to wipe away her tear. “kocham cię kochanie moje, everything is okay do you want to lay down? Or do you want to stay like this?” Multi asks her in a softer tone than usual trying not to scare her.
She sniffles and nods her head, “Yeah going to sleep would be nice. Do you have somewhere I can lay? I would lay with Nacho but I don’t want to wake him and his bed is small.” She says as she looks up at him with pleading eyes.
“Yes, yes you can lay in my bed if you would like. Don’t worry I most likely won’t even go to bed so it’s all yours.” He says the last part with a reassuring smile. He takes her hand in his and says, “Come, come follow me it’s this way.”
Katie follows behind Multi as they make their way up to his room. After a minute of walking they reach a lock door and Multi puts in a code and opens it for her. “Here Katie, lay down. I don’t have any clean clothes so you can shower in the morning after I get you your clothes. Don’t worry it’s really nothing.” He says the last part to reassure her that whatever is going isn’t her fault.
She smiles at what he says and mutters out an okay then a smile. She puts her knees onto the bed then she sits on it staring at Multi with hopeful eyes. “Multi, I have a question, well a request.” His eyes widen a tiny bit at what she says. “Yeah? What is it?” He replies.
“Can you, can you lay with me? Sorry if it’s weird. If you don’t want to it’s okay don’t worry. Sorry for asking I sound so weird I should just be grateful I can stay here.” She rambles the last parts off to herself as she stares down at the bed in disappointment and nervousness.
“Katie, yes, yes I’ll stay if you want. The only reason I said I wouldn’t is because I didn’t know if you’d be comfort with me laying with you. But if you want me to then if more be than happy to share a bed with you.” He replies in a gentle tone with a smirk on his face.
He makes his way onto the bed climbing so he can lay down beside her. “Hey every things going to be okay. In the morning you can tell me if you want to don’t worry. No matter what you decide I’ll be here for you even if you don’t want me to be. I will always be here for you.” He tells her.
Her face flushed red at what he says, “Thanks Multi that’s really sweet of you to say.” She says as she snuggles up to him putting her nose and face into the crook of his neck. Then, she puts her arm of his waist and holds him close to her.
She feels an arm go around her waist pulling her closer to him. He kisses her cheek and whispers in her ear goodnight then he closes his eyes. She freezes at what he does then she melts into it realizing that everything she’s ever wanting was here right now.
She knew she’d have to face her decision one day but for now she’s like to stay in this moment. She’d like to figure out what they’re going to do next after they wake up. Whatever is next she knows it’ll be okay and they’ll get through it together.
She falls asleep to his steady breathing and the rhythm of his heart breath soothing her as she rests. Whatever happens next will be okay as long as they have each other.
