The scent was so intoxicating lately that Katsuki found himself hovering near Shoto much more often than before. When Noé moved, scooting closer to the traincar window to watch the passing sights, the hair that usually covered his forehead shifted, and Vanitas thought the skin underneath looked darker than he remembered. It was difficult to recall, though, and even more difficult to be sure that it was different since Noé’s skin was already naturally dark.
Before Vanitas could even think to say anything about Noé’s exhaustion or what could have been—could it have been?—surely it wasn’t—bruising on his forehead, Noé himself spoke.

It’s the first real one — something fuller that reaches his eyes, and Katsuki’s chest does something he doesn’t examine. Shouto’s thumb traces a slow line up the inside of Katsuki’s thigh as he speaks, nail just barely dragging.
“If you feel that sorry,” he says, “bend over. Spread yourself wide for me.”

Ochaco seemed like the safe harbor of common sense, at least until she swallowed a mouthful of fries and pointed a greasy finger at him.
"So you're basically playing gay chicken," she said, her voice bright and far too carrying for his comfort.
Katsuki stopped chewing, his fork hovering inches from a piece of wilted lettuce. He stared at her, feeling a sudden regret for ever opening his mouth. Ten minutes ago, she had been a sympathetic listener, but now she looked entirely too amused by his suffering.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
