Summary
125 days.
It has been 125 days since Kageyama last heard from Hinata.
Today marks the beginning of the 2021 Olympics and as much as Team Japan is excited to prove their skill in their home country, star-setter Kageyama Tobio is still battling with insecurity over the sudden loss of contact with his best friend, Hinata Shoyo.
That is, until he sees him for the first time in months coming off the Olympic Bus for Team Brazil. He sees Hinata with dark circles under his eyes, an over serious demeanor, and a soulless gaze that is haunting.
Kageyama (and by extension: ride-or-die team Japan) were not expecting to have anything other than gold medals on their mind. Especially not a fellow coach with abusive and possessive tendencies, and an old friend slowly losing his love for the sport and will to fight for a brighter tomorrow.
