“You sure go on a lot of dates. What’s your secret?” Shane asked, feigning a casual tone.
Ilya continued messing with the sticker, not looking over at Shane. “I have a big dick.”
Shane dropped the blooms he was holding and they scattered around his feet. “Shit, um…” He reached down and scooped them up, putting them back into place on the counter.
“And what about you?” Ilya asked, turning to pin Shane down again with his icy stare, a trace of a smirk on his face.
Shane panicked. “What about what?...”
Ilya raised a brow innocently. “Do you go on a lot of dates?”
Shane laughed, relieved. “Ohhh, um… Well not really, no. I’m usually pretty busy with the store.”
Ilya made a pouty face and tilted his head to the side. “Is a shame, you are very pretty…”
OR: Shane Hollander owns Hollander’s Flower Shop. Ilya Rozanov, a firefighter who’s new to Montreal, visits every week to buy flowers for his numerous dates. Until Shane realizes, maybe it’s just an excuse to see him.
