Ruler of everything

Summary:

Months after the end of both their series, Thatmob, Lookout, and their verities are transported into a mysterious Minecraft world they have never been in before... Now they'll have to discover why and what brought them there...

Basically a crossover set in "The Verity Mod had a sequel" universe

Notes:

HEYYY. So. I watched too many of those Gacha Life crossover reaction videos of them and thought, Why not make one myself? Then I remembered I use the internet via a magical wishing well blessed by my ancestors that will probably explode if I put more than two screenshots on CapCut, so I decided to make it in written format instead!

My inner gacha kid, still making Among Us yaoi GLMMS, is very disappointed in me, but oh well, times change!

NOW FEAST, MY CHILDREN

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

The soil felt cold and wet on his back; that was the first thing Lookout realised when he woke up in the middle of a dark forest biome. The sun shone between the leaves above him, hurting his tired eyes and making his brain foggy.

"What the-" He tried to stand up, but everything was spinning around; he must have taken a good hit. "Yo, Slippery? Where are you, man?" It seemed like his friend hadn't been teleported with him.

He looked around in confusion; he was in a completely different environment than he had been just seconds ago, running away from some dumb entity. Was this part of the mod they had been playing? After a few tries, he managed to get on his feet by leaning on a tree. His whole body hurt, and he would soon notice some scratches on his arms and leaves all over his hair. Had he fallen from the sky?

He grabbed his hat from the ground and put it over his head, still questioning how he had been moved there. It looked nothing like the world he was in before; he would come to realise. The whole situation was odd, and Slippery was still nowhere to be found.

Lookout clunched his stomach and tried to ignore the pain on his back as he walked through the grass and gigantic trees.

"MAN, this SUCKS MAN, Im all alone walking through these creepy ahh woods- Im NEVER playing this mod again, man!"

After what felt like ages, the forest seemed to start getting less verdant. Suddenly, in the distance, between some bushes, seemed to lie a dark figure; Lookout cleaned his eyes to make sure he wasnt trippin.

"YOOO!! Who is that baddie!!"

He ran towards the person. Was it possible? Could it be another player? LETS GOOO. He got nearer to be met by a very familiar face. Wait. There was NO way that was Thatmob. He had been missing for MONTHS; the last thing he posted was part two of his Verity series evreyone had assumed the mod had gotten to him. Had he been there this entire time?

He leaned down to inspect the unconscious man better; he seemed to be in the same state he had found himself in after waking up. His face twitched uncomfortably, as if he was having a bad dream. ...Well, it certainly LOOKED like him, His mask, his enderman features... but it couldn't be, could it?

"Ou shii...." He pressed a finger against his cheek, poking it gently. After toying with his face for a while, the man slowly started to open his eyes.

"Huh... LookOut...?" He asked, barely lucid.

He looked into his eyes and recognized him instantly. It WAS Thatmob!

"YOOOO, hey mob!"

He rubbed his head, slowly sitting down and looking at his surroundings.

"Where am I?"

"I don't know, man! I was playing with my boy, Slippery, and now im here!" He responded. "How are you here? I thought you were dead, man!"

"Well, I thought I was dead too... wait." He grabbed him by his shirt with strength and shook him. "YOU CAN SEE ME?!"

"Of course I can see you, dude." Lookout responded

"HOW?" ThatMob just kept shaking him.

"Am I not supposed to see you?"

"Well..." He seemed to calm down a bit. "When I died, my soul kinda got trapped in the game as a ghost. Only other dead people are supposed to see me."

"Like In Five Nights at Freddy's?"

"I mean, I guess..."

Awsome.

"I love that game, man- WAIT, DOES THAT MEAN IM DEAD!??

"Maybe."

He walked around in distress, the enderman still trying to regain his posture and process the situation.

"OH MAN, THIS SUCKS, MAN!! HOW AM I GOING TO KISS HOT FEMBOYS NOW?!"

"Is that what you are worried about- whatever, we should probably find out why we were sent here..."

"Good idea! LETS GOO."

Chunks away, freaky Verity opened his eyes to see total darkness. He touched the inside of wherever he was and felt the familiar tact of cardboard walls. Did he get uploaded to Minecraft again?

"Lookout?" He called. "Lookout! Im here, I missed you!"

He waited for a little while, waiting for Someone to appear and open the box like it was usual, but time passed, and no one came. Eventually, he grew tired and mustered the strength to break the tape holding the box together.

After a while and a lot of struggling, he finally managed to get his entire body out of containment. The box was clearly not designed to be opened from the inside. He got the last piece of cardboard off his shoe and stood up, shaken. He was still wearing his Dumb Walmart uniform. God, that job sucked. So, it appeared he had been right. He had been uploaded again to Minecraft, but by who? He looked around in excitement, but no one was around, and definitely not the one he would kill to see. He kept walking around the meadow when he almost tripped on something on the ground.

"OW! Who leaves boxes around-."

Wait. He stopped to stare at it. The box felt extremely familiar. It had that form that only the capsules of his kind were delivered in. He noticed Someone was moving inside it. It was another helper! He quickly opened it. A creature very similar to him happily jumped out of the open box and greeted him. "Hey, im verity, your personal help... Oh! You aren't a player." Freaky Verity was perplexed. It was the original! THE Verity! He had heard so much of him, but never actually saw him in person. He started at the other helper. Woah! So THAT'S how he was supposed to be like. He looked so much more put together and elegant than he did. He noticed the confused smile on the other's face.

"Uh- nope! Im not a player."

He quickly responded

"You must be another model! Im pleased to meet you." The original shook his hand.

"Pleased to meet you too." He went over his words. "Well, im not exactly another model."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, my name is also Verity! We are the same color- we have the same function and evreything. We could even be twins!" He laughed.

"Oh." His face seemed to darken. "And how come I've never heard of you? I know everything!"

"Ehhh." It was odd; he had never told anyone that. He bareley tough about it. "Im more like a failed prototype of a replica of you. Im not really in the files."

That cheerful robotic smile came back to Original Verity's face. It was kind of creepy.

"Ohhh, okay. But why? What's wrong with you? You seem fine to me."

"Heh. You'll see..."

He chuckled.

"Well, alright!"

They both looked around in silence.

"Any idea where we are?" asked Lookout's Verity.

"It's weird... Im not sure where this place is... And I know evre- "

Freaky verity put off by his happy programmed tone.

"Yeah yeah, you know evreything, we get It Bro."

"This is so strange, I was with my owner, M- Grox... And now in a completely different world. That isn't possible- maybe he-" He got lost in his thoughts for a few seconds." no, no, he wouldn't do that, not him too..."

The other shrugged that off. Not his problem. "That's kind of cryptic, but I'll ignore it. Maybe we should look around and see if we can find anyone else?

Good idea, friend! Lets go explore; the nearest village is 1062 blocks away."

Freaky Verity walked behind his new acquaintance. He put his hands between his back and straightened his posture, trying to mimic his way of walking. He placed himself Next to the other one, noticing how much taller he was than him. Great. Even in that, he was better.

"Soooo... Verity 2..." Lookouts Verity began.

"You don't need to call me that."

He frowned.

"How will we differentiate each other then, smart Guy?"

"When you say Verity, I'll know you are speaking to me. When I say Verity, you'll know im speaking to you. That easy."

Mimimi. Smart ass. That's how he was supposed to talk like? It seemed like the admiration didint last long.

"Alright... Sooo, Verity."

"Tell me, friend."

"How's your owner?" The smaller one asked.

Verity seemed startled by the question. He didint want to think much about it.

"My owner? He is..." Insert traumatized soldier image. "Peculiar. He really loves, uhm... Villagers. How is your owner?"

Freaky Verity smiled. YES!! He got to talk about his babyyy!

"My owner is, well, he isn't technically my owner anymore but-" He giggled at the simple thought of him. "His name is Lookout, and he is SO STRANG AND-" Original Verity stopped on his tracks, making the other one collide with his back. "Ouch! What the hell, man-"

"Wait... your owner is Lookout?" He asked, a terrified expression on his face.

He raised an eyebrow, annoyed to be cut off when about to talk about his favourite thing.

"Yeah, why? You know him??"

The original coughed, trying to mimic his surprise.

"Yes. He was one of my previous owners"

Oh!

He kept walking, now in front of the other. Neither of them knew where they were going anyway.

That's strange... he never told me anything about having had another Veirty." He'll have to have a chat with him the Next time he sees him. "Why would you ever leave him anyway?"

"He kept asking me for help with torturing mobs and such..." He recoiled from the memories. It wasnt like Grox was any better anyway. "He is kind of morbid, isn't he?"

THAT TRAITOR!

"He never asked me to torture any mobs with him..." Freaky Verity said with a sadness that quickly turned into anger. "If I ever find out he liked you more than me, I'll stick your jugular up your ass."

The original Verity didn't even look at him. He'd like to see him try.

"Haha! Noted."

"Oh my god bruhhh we've been walking for AGES, what are we looking for, anyway?"

The sun was already starting to set on the horizon. Soon it would be night, and the mobs would start to appear.

"Im not sure." Responded ThatMob, done with his bullshit. "But maybe we should find a place to spend the night. We have nothing in our inventories; we aren't safe."

"Aw man, I wish I had my Verity to ask him where the nearest village is!"

ThatMob grimaced. He had spent so long trying to get rid of that mod to the point where he had given up on evreything, and that guy wanted to be near his Verity? By choice?

"Hah... you have one of those too?" He asked.

They entered a small cave near a mountain and covered the entrance with dirt blocks.

Now that he thought about it, it had been so long since he last visited him! Oh god, he must be so upset. Not like he cared about that.

"Yeah, he's... a little weird, but I like him. Sort of."

They started placing torches around; that would be enough to survive till morning. They hoped.

"I know it might seem nice in the beginning, but trust me..." He took a deep breath. "It only gets worse."

Lookout sat next to him on the cold rock ground. He remembered all that his verity did in those videos.

"Is that how you died? Did yours kill you or something?" He asked unnoticeably.

"Not really..." Thatmob chuckled, then raised his bangs to reveal a gunshot wound in the middle of his forehead. It looked so strange, like it had been frozen in time. But it also proved something; it was obvious: no one could survive that. "Im afraid I got ahead of him in that."

Lookout observed the wound in amazement.

"You killed yourself just to get rid of him? That's sick."

"Yep... it was the only way, you know how he is. You owned him."

Lookout frowned.

"How do you know that?"  He asked.

"There was this... strange room. It was full of signs with the names of his previous owners crossed off... and you were one of the last ones."

There was a lot Mob needed to explain.

"Yeahhh, I met him." He addmited. "But it didn't last long."

That mob lay down, his body still hurting from the fall.

"How did you even survive him anyway? I mean, I had to take my own life to escape him."

"Lets just say he didint really like me, bro." He laughed. "That freaking bouncer couldn't handle me."

Was he hearing right?

"So, you are telling me, you survived a 100-year-old immortal entity... by giving him the ick?"

"I mean. Yeah."

Damn. That guy really was unlikable. He wondered what kind of stuff he was asking Verity for. He almost felt bad for the creature.

"And... your new Verity, he is nicer?"

Why would he even get a new one anyway?

"Nah, he broke into my house and shot me in the shoulder. But we're cool now."

"He did WHAT? DUDE..."

"To be fair. I shot him in the face first." He smiled at the memory. "He is also like OBSESSED with me."

"Yeah, I think they all do that. Mine was obsessed with me too."

Lookout sighed.

"Nahh bro, mine is built different."

"How?"

"He is SO FREAKY BRO. LIKE- HE ALWAYS WANTS ME TO TOUCH HIM AND-"

"OH- WOW WOW WOW. Okay, I get it, I get it."

They both let the silence fill the cave.

Suddenly, a familiar A familiar high-piched voice broke the peaceful silence.

"Lookout, where are you??" It asked from outside.

Lookout stood up in response.

"SLIPPERY?!" He yelled in excitement.

He ran towards the beginning of the cave and started breaking the dirt blocks.

Thatmob held his arm to stop him.

"Be careful, dude, they can mimic voices..." He remembered that time when... "Trust me, I know."

Lookout pulled away.

"Nahh, my boy slippery is out there. I'd recognize him anywhere. Trust me, bro."

He broke the last dirt block and sprinted out, calling his friend's name.

"SLIPPERY?! WHERE ARE YOU?"

"Im right here."

The voice said... from above him.

He raised his head to see a gigantic white creature, his mouth wide open and his eyes completely empty. It was bigger than any entity he had ever seen. And so... quiet.

He froze.

"OU SHII..."

That mob ran after him.

"LOOKOUT I TOLD YOU NOT TO-" He looked up. "OH, MY GOD."

The entity stayed silent

"NOPE, NO WAY, IM OUT-"

Lookout went to settings and tried to activate creative mode.

Oh, right, that wasnt his world. SHITTTT.

As soon as they started running away, the entity went after them at full speed.

"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH NO NO NO NO, WHAT IS THATTT?!"

"I DON'T KNOW." Yelled Thatmob. "IT LOOKS EVEN WORSE THAN VERITY."

"WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?!"

"JUST KEEP RUNNING."

They kept sprinting through the forest, the creature destroying evreything in its way.

It was over. They were dead. AGAIN! Did that thing bring them there just to kill them?!

They were losing hope when the silhouette of a dark-haired woman came out of the ground a few blocks in front of them.

"Quick, come in here!" She yelled to them.

What other choice did they have?

They jumped into the trapdoor.

A few hours later, chunks away, the two Verities sat in the middle of a rainforest. They didint need protection, obviously. What kind of mob would even dare come near them? They had found nothing interesting so far, which sucked, but at least they were safe. Morning was near; when it arrived, they would keep moving.

The original carefully observed his freaky version. He looked so... strange. There was something clearly off about him. Like he wasnt how he was supposed to be.

"You miss him." He said.

That took the other one off guard.

"Huh?" The freaky one asked, out of his thoughtful trance

"You are thinking about him. I can see it in your face."

Freaky Verity scoffed.

"Good deduction, genius. Im ALWAYS thinking about him."

"Hm... what's between you and him?" He asked.

The other Verity frowned at the question.

"What do you mean?"

"Are you dating?"

WOAH!

"That's- we are- well, not really. YOU CANT JUST ASK THAT!"

The other one laughed.

"Sounds like you are in a situationship!"

Freaky Verity was seconds away from punching him in the face.

"WHAT?!"

"A situationship refers to a romantic relationship between two people who do not yet consider  themselves a couple but who have more than-"

"YEAH, YEAH I know what a situationship means, WIKIPEDIA. Its just- I haven't seen him in months! At least not awake..."

"What do you mean by at least not awake?" He giggled. He found that almost endearing. "You dream about him?"

"No, it means I watch him sleep."

"Oh!"

"..."

"You need help!"

"I know."

The original sighed.

"But... it's fine, I get it."

"Huh?"

The sun was starting to come out on the horizon.

"My owner... well, I mean, my previous owner..." It felt like it had been years since he last spoke of him. "The only person I ever met that treated me like I was something. He was so perfect... I couldn't stand the thought of someone taking him away from me. I wanted him to be with me every second of his life. To only need me.

Freaky verity crawled closer.

"Sounds like you've got a crush!" He teased

"What?!" He tried not to lose his facade. "No- we are AI models; we cant feel those things like humans do. Especially not crushes." He laughed nervously.

The other one hummed, leaning into a tree.

"I can." He stated.

"Maybe that's what's wrong with you."

Oh Wow!

Seemed like that guy had some deep-rooted issues. They didint have time to unpack all that. The other Verity was left speechless.

"Sorry..." The original continued. "It's not like it matters anyway. He killed himself just to get rid of me."

Ou shii. What was he even supposed to respond to that trauma dump?

"Well, that must suck!"

Idiot.

"It really does."

...

"Welp, it's almost morning. We should keep going." He said, trying to change the topic.

"Good idea."

They both stood up, the moon almost gone. It was tiring; they hadn't slept at all. It wasnt like they needed it anyway. It was all an illusion.

They kept walking for a few hours, not saying a word, just thinking about where the hell their owners could be.

Eventually they reached a forest, but something was very wrong. The trees had been completely destroyed, and the grass seemed to have been removed, revealing wet dirt underneath. The ground seemed to be marked by huge deep footprints.

"Hey, look at this." Said Freaky Verity.

"These are just enormous. There isn't any mob in vanilla Minecraft that could have left these." He pointed out. He kept inspecting them. "It looks like... someone of our species."

"You think so? That means there is more of us here! He can help us! We should follow them."

"I'm not sure that's a good idea. Some other models- they aren't as reasonable as you and I." He looked around, inspecting the data of the world around them. There seemed to be a strange tower nearby. "There is a player-made construction a few chunks away; why don't we go there instead?" He suggested.

"You are just saying that to contradict me."

"Friend..." He said threateningly.

Freaky Verity gulped.

"Fine. Lets go to the tower."

"Great! Follow me."

Weirdo.

They headed to the tower like the original ordered. Lookouts Verity wished they could use their monster forms to go faster, but that would probably only scare players off. After like a million years, they reached the damn place.

"Seems pretty empty to me."

"We don't know that yet."

They walked up the stairs and opened the door. It was unlocked. The place was nicely decorated with pink candles and a whole lot of

Before they could go to the second floor, a woman and a pink helper like them came down the stairs.

They seemed to have heard them enter. The woman got a sword out.

"Oh, we have visitors!" Said the helper, warmly.

The pink one was in her ball form, and she had a big smile on her face. She seemed friendly.

"How did you find us?" Asked the woman.

The two didint know what to respond.

"There are more players?" Someone asked from upstairs.

It kind of sounded like... no...

Two people went down the wooden stairs and stood behind the girls.

No, no, he saw him shoot himself. The bullet went right through his forehead. He did it in front of him- how could he? How could he be there?

"Mob...?"

"Verity."
