The redemption program of the Beast cookies was going surprisingly well. Most of the Ancients had their counterparts. Except for Golden Cheese Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie. They had swapped because Pure Vanilla's calm answer for things worked better for Burning Spice Cookie than Golden Cheese Cookie did. Golden Cheeses' approach was much more fierce and quick. So it worked quite well for Shadow Milk.
“Burning Spice Cookie,” The vanillian spoke softly as his flower's eye looked at the bright red cookie. “What is that?”
“It’s a drawing. You said to put my destructive tendencies into another task. And that is what I am doing.” Burning Spice became agitated quickly since he was used to letting anger by destroying villages and kingdoms. But, Pure Vanilla forbade Burning Spice from destroying anything in the very real and fragile Vanilla Kingdom.

Summary
What if Muzan had a different idea for handling the descendants of his nemesis?
Seeing them as small children, he sees more use in them. So he turns them into *half* demons. They will still age, (mostly because he doesn't want to have to deal with toddlers for eternity) even if it is at a slower rate.
However, even though he decides to turn Tanjiro and Nezuko into little half demons, he doesn't want to actually raise these two. He's a busy man, he doesn't want to deal with kids. So who of the upper moons would be best? Probably the guy who basically raised his sister anyway- Gyutaro!
So that's the basic premise of the AU. Still brainstorming it with a friend, but I thought it was a fun idea.
