Summary
Joyce’s death during the final battle left Will Byers severely traumatized. In the months that followed, he became increasingly paranoid and began hearing strange noises that no one else seemed to notice, whispers behind closed doors, footsteps in empty hallways, voices murmuring from places that should have been silent.
Over time, Will started distancing himself from everyone around him. He stopped answering calls, avoided his friends, and refused to talk about what was happening. Instead, he lost himself in endless parties and increasingly destructive habits, using anything he could find to dull the grief and make the voices in his head disappear.
But no matter how hard he tried, the voices in his head never disappeared yet only grew louder. And with every passing night, the whispers became more sinister, urging him toward forbidden places, places he knew, deep down, he was never meant to find.
