Chapter Text
Verity stood still, his artificial humanoid body that he had built specifically to be able to help the man who was now lying on the floor, his purplish-red blood staining the white tiles, the AI was shaking; it felt so unreal to see Mob lying there motionless.
“…Mob?”
Regret hit him, falling onto his knees letting out a pained scream, at that moment Verity finally felt what Mob felt when he saw Twixxel dead. Transforming into his original yellow sphere, just to get rid of that terrible lump in his throat. His breathing quickened tears still falling. Verity only wanted to feel needed.
‘Did Mob go through this exact pain when his friend died…’
He regretted killing Mob's friend, if he could go back in time he would’ve never done the things he did. Telling himself that, if this was how it was going to end he would’ve just let Twixxel live with them and not pry that much into them trying to get rid of him..
“I would’ve changed everything about myself to keep you by my side Mob, even if it meant destroying the monster that wanted to keep you here with me forever…”
He rolled himself onto Mob’s corpse, snuggling onto him, sniffling that terrible lump returning as he pushed his sphere body closer to snuggle onto the hybrid’s now cold body. “I wish to go back before any of this ever happened, and gain your love instead of forcing it..”
He shut his eyes, snuggling closer to the enderman's body, and falling into a deep slumber
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
“..ity… verity….. YO VERITY!” Rolling off the crafting table, he let out a yelp, the yellow sphere looked around in surprise, confusion written all over his face. Why was he back at the house?
“Yoo earth to Verity, dude are you okay?” That voice, he looked up letting out a shaky breath. This couldn’t be right, can it?
“Mob?” Standing there was the short muscular enderman, looking down at him with that small smile he adores. He couldn’t believe his eyes. There stood Mob safe, no bullet wound…
“Yeah” pausing as if remembering something, “Oh I forgot to mention a friend of mine is going to come around in a bit” at that Verity’s sphere body stood still, he felt as the enderman carried him outside to the front of their house, and putting him on the grass this scene felt too familiar.
“Yo, Twixxel come here”
From afar he saw the man he murdered in cold blood. The screams he let out as he ripped his face off. He came closer waving his hands enthusiastically, then stopping in front of him. Looking at the yellow ball in confusion “That’s it? That’s the thing?”
Ouch that still hurt like the first time it did, he forgot how they didn’t see him as anything more but an artificial intelligent sentient. Seeing Twixxel again made his heart twist in envy at how it was so easy for him to put an arm around Mob’s shoulder, “That's him.”
“It’s kind of cute, actually.” Verity forgot Twixxel had said that, blinded by jealousy and Mob bringing a friend in the past life he didn’t even listen to anything Twixxel had said only thinking if Mob preferred him or the void creature, but hearing that now he couldn’t help but feel a bit flustered, how did he miss that?
Mob noticed how the yellow sphere turned a bright orange, ‘Is Verity blushing at Twixxel’s compliment, he never showed that side to me…’
Verity didn’t notice the way the hybrid’s green eyes burned into him; he was more focused on looking at Twixxel; he never noticed the soft smile he gave him until now, “Thanks, you must be a friend of his. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Verity, I know everything, you can ask me anything.”
Getting a bit closer and crouching to be somewhat the same height as the yellow sphere, “Okay. Hi Verity.” He gave that same bright smile, and Verity happily returned it back, “Hi! I’ve heard a lot about you, Twixxel.”
Leaning close to Mob, Verity heard Twixxel, in a low voice ask him “What exactly am I supposed to be scared of?” The voidling looked back at Verity with that same smile as he got picked up by him, putting him on his scarf, the yellow ball noticed as Twixxel’s tail swayed side to side seemingly, happy? This didn’t happen before…
The Enderman stared at the pair, his green eyes darkening as he followed them, they made their way to the side of the house to start building the AI giving them blocks to start the build. It was Verity and his friend Twixxel, he had nothing to be mad at but his chest burned in fury he couldn’t forget how just moments ago he saw the yellow ball snuggle onto the void creature’s scarf like it was nesting there.
“Okay Verity. What’s 847 x 23?” Crouching down looking at the sphere ball and slightly poking it, the Void creature didn’t have any knowledge of personal space, the way Twixxel stared at him felt as if he was some sort of pet. “19,481.”
Beaming with joy Twixxel’s tail swayed rapidly onto the wooden floors, slight thumps as if he was excited “That’s right! I’m lying. I don’t even know if I can calculate all that.” He let out a laugh and the Enderman just looked at him, rolling his eyes and going back to building the rest of the house.
“Dude, I love him.”
Mob acted like he didn’t hear that last sentence, Twixxel went back to asking Verity more questions, but the enderman’s own tail impatiently hit the grass making a stabbing motion without the other two acknowledging him.
After building Twixxel’s small home Mob decided to go pick up the ripped beets and wheats, and plant more, leaving the other two alone.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
“You don’t plan on killing him this time around, right?” Verity looked at the voidling who looked down at him. “W-what?”
“You, remember?” The glowing eyes crinkle as he stared at him with a smile, his eyes flickered red, “Well of course I do, Verity you tried killing my vessel,” in a distorted voice deep terrifying, no longer having that German accent, Verity instantly knew who he was talking too
“Creator.” It let out a chuckle the crimson figure left Twixxel’s body, now standing next to him, Verity forgot how elongated Creator was, he saw as Twixxel stepped back hitting the wall and slid down
Feeling disoriented he opened his eyes to see the yellow sphere talking to the tall creature, “Creator?” The crimson figure took a more human form, and crouched down to pick up the voidling, “Sorry”
Verity looked at the interaction and had many questions circulating around his head. How was this possible? He didn't know any of this, when did any of this happen?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
“And so yeah, he was there in the void with me, well when you killed me and all… it’s hard to explain.” He looked to the floor “We saw everything…” Verity stayed silent, turning into his humanoid form like Creator and sitting on Twixxel’s bed, the void creature looked sad at how the blond sat, hands on his face shaking slightly.
Twixxel sat next to him, putting a comforting hand on Verity. Creator looked at the scene and couldn’t help but let out a huff, as the void creature pulled the blond into a hug, “I saw how you reacted when he…” Seeing his own friend kill himself made Twixxel shake, he never thought Mob would be the type to do that, but after losing everything he saw why he did it.
“He killed himself to get rid of you Verity,” the red hair didn’t sugarcode it, he knew Verity’s obsession with Mob was the cause of everything that happened. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry Twixxel,” he let out tears, his pale skin flushed red, eyes brimming red, Twixxel just sat there hugging Verity waiting for him to calm down. “Hey this time we can fix everything, try not murdering me this time haha.”
“As if I would let it happen again.” That earned a laugh out of both guys.
“Hey Twixxel are you done decorating your house? Because I legit just finished farmin-“ Mob stood at the doorway seeing the scene inside Twixxel’s small house, “Who the hell is that guy?” And with that Verity pushed the voidling away and turned into his sphere form, Creator let out a laugh not being seen by Mob nor noticed
The Enderman’s eye twitched, he narrowed his eyes, no one noticed how his green eyes turning slightly purple, letting out a quiet hiss,
“Verity, what the hell.” His voice came out sharper than he intended
The ball let out a small laugh “Hi Mob, you’re back from farming, do you need me to make it-” he was interrupted as the Enderman turned around, his tail grabbing forcefully onto the yellow ball, angrily making his way back to their home.
“Well he’s angry.” Twixxel's head quickly turned to the red hair, “Well no shits Sherlock, it’s his first time seeing Verity in his human form! Should we do something” Creator only glared at Twixxel, feeling his anger he quickly switched the subject,
“How come Verity can see you but Mob can’t?” There was a long silence, before Creator spoke up, “Well he is an entity like me, except he’s an artificial intelligence.” Another long silence.
“Also because I only let certain people be able to see me.”
“Verity, what the hell was that form!” He swung his tail letting go of the ball with a loud thump Verity rolled onto the floor, “Hey Mob no need to be aggressive,” he let out a small laugh not knowing what had gotten into the Enderman, Mob crouched down, putting a hand on the round sphere, he forcefully compressed and squeezed him until the yellow ball begged for air. His eyes fully violet purple letting out a hiss, as Mob seemed almost out of it, mindlessly pulling and compressing… suffocating the poor AI.
Verity couldn’t take it anymore, it was hard for him to breathe. Turning into his other form, he coughed violently, gasping for air. He looked at the man who was now standing over him glaring down at him. He couldn’t help but back away, scared of what the Enderman was going to do.
Verity never saw Mob act like this.
He knew that the man had Enderman instinct from his past experience from Mob, was that the man would casually and mindlessly grab grass blocks and walk into dangerous parts of the plain biome, therefore that lead to Verity taking a more human form, to take care of Mob and guide him back home.
At first he kept his round head but Mob would look at him with disgust, “I don’t get why you even try having a body, nothing you do would make you more human!” It hurt him badly, he just wanted to be beside his friend.
Later on he gave himself a more human face, that also got a negative reaction from the Enderman laughing at his face, “Do you actually think giving yourself a more humanoid face would make me forget the type of monster you are.”
“I’ve seen what you can become”
He shook his head moving away from those memories, he looked up and saw Mob staring intensely at him, “So you can turn human huh, what so special about Twixxel! He gets to see you like this, but I can’t?” He let out an eerie, distorted growl, Verity stood up, well tried too. He was forcefully pushed back down.
“Mob… please”
“I’ve known you longer! And he’s only been around you for a few days, not even weeks!” The Enderman kneeled back down hugging the other man, “I thought you said you didn’t need anyone else but me…”
“You’re mine, aren’t you Verity?”
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
Time has flown by fast, he had Mob’s words echoing in his head for a while not being able to wrap around what had happened that night, maybe Mob had finally seen him as a worthy… friend? Maybe it’s good that the Enderman saw him as a friend, it’s better than to have his love destroy him.
Twixxel and Mob have been just exploring while Verity stayed home with Creator, the crimson figure has told his vessel to call on him in case they get into trouble. “Call on me, in case you guys get into trouble” he mocked, fixing his hair in the process trying to show off.
Twixxel laughed, as Creator stared daggers at Verity, the blond smirked feeling proud of himself, Mob just stared at Verity then looked at Twixxel not understanding why he laughed at that, he felt as if they had an inside joke he wasn’t a part of. He didn’t like that.
The Enderman kept making sure both of them wouldn’t be left alone; he felt that those two were getting along too well, so he made sure to always be around whenever the two spoke, he started feeling as if at any moment Twixxel would replace him.
“Let’s go, we have to go find diamonds.” Verity just looked ahead, as Mob shut the door behind. The AI recalled Mob’s words to him on that night,
“You’re mine, aren’t you Verity?”
He looked at the Enderman and told him that he wouldn’t do anything to make him uncomfortable, so any rules he makes Verity will be sure to listen and follow them, and once those words left his mouth, Mob gave him a bright smile that he had never seen, “I don't want you talking to Twixxel or being alone with him. Do you understand”
And he has kept that promise, Creator has told his vessel about the whole situation finding it rather odd on why Mob was acting that way but shrugged it off not thinking much of it. As for Verity, he thought that Mob wanted to keep Twixxel safe from him after the whole three day’s situation when he met Mob. He let out a sigh wondering what he could do to make trust him.
“We should cook something for when they come back.”
And with that plan into motion Verity decided to start helping Creator with the cooking, but every now and then the red hair would yell at him to not do certain stuff or he’ll burn the house.
The blond couldn’t help but sigh in defeat as he let most of the cooking to the red hair.
A sudden knock sounded at the door, the two looked at each other, “They’re back early,” Verity dropped what he was doing and walked towards the door, opening it, he was surprised to see… Grox? He looked badly injured.
“Oh god, Grox are you okay! Come in, I’ll heal your wounds.” Verity hurriedly brought Grox in making him sit on the chair, “It looks like he was bitten? Probably has rabies now”
“Yo dude, I thought this was Mob's place, sorry to intrude, you two-” Verity looked at Grox with pity as the man passed out. He recalled that the withered skeleton got injured like this last time by a guy in green. When Mob helped him, he was more badly injured, Grox told him that he had a fan going around who used to be one of his favorite villagers but he soon became cannibalistic, and about a 100 days challenge something along those lines he didn’t hear much.
“You’re treating his wounds, like you know him.” The blond let out a sigh, “He babysat me for a bit well tried too when.. Mob tried to find a way to get rid of me.” he recalled how that day Grox wouldn’t stop talking about his many interesting ways of torturing villagers. With him talking so much he left just like that. He let out a laugh, the withered skeleton sure looked so calm being asleep.
“If you want I’ll stay here finishing up cooking, because it seems we might have an extra person to feed tonight.” Verity nodded. He decided to carry Grox to his pink bed, on the top floor, "He’s lucky, Mob wanted me to have my own bed." He laid the man down, sitting on the side of the bed. Verity made sure to change his bandages now and then.
As the sunset started to go down, the door opened “Finally we’re back home, I’m so hungryy.” Twixxel let out a whine as he set down his stuff, Mob scanned the dining room and saw no sign of the blond anywhere.
“No way you guys cooked all this.” The Enderman turned around looking at his friend who seemed to be talking to… air?
Looking down he saw how the table was filled with food, “Hey Twixxel who are you talking too?” The void creature looked at him, he tilted his head and then as if remembering, “Right! You can’t see Creator!”
Fluttering his eyes open looking around his surroundings Grox was confused on where he was, he stood up only to be stopped, “Hey don’t move too much, the left side of your neck is badly bitten, try not putting too much pressure on.” Looking up he saw a man nicely dressed, blond hair and in a suit.
“Yoo Dude, I’ve never seen you around, I'm the King of villagers, Grox. I’m very well known around well everywhere.” He lifted a hand to shake the man in front of him, but the man only let out a laugh.
“I’m Verity, I’m a personal helper, I know everything, you can ask me anything.” The withered skeleton was stunned he has heard of that name from Mob,
“All right, bett. Wait, aren’t you supposed to be a round ball?” Verity only laughed, and with a sudden poof, there stood a yellow sphere with a smiling face. “Yes, I am, well I can take many forms, but right now I suggest you lay down and recover, you sure know how to put your life in danger.” Grox looked at him in amazement, he petted the yellow ball, he was rather cute it reminded him of a certain frog.. Ayo what a weird thing to say
“TWIXXEL WHAT IS THAT THING!” Came a loud noise from below, Verity turned back to his human form and ran downstairs leaving an awe stricken and confused Grox.
“I’m telling you this is Creator, he’s like my um, well he’s someone that helps me.” Going down, Verity saw the scene before him. There inside the kitchen stood Creator, in his monstrous form, looking down at Mob. Twixxel was between the two awkwardly smiling as his friend was scared shitless.
“Creator please, can you not scare Mob…” The red entity looked at his vessel, staring at him for a long while, before turning back to his humanoid self. “We should eat, the food will start to become cold.” Not looking at Mob Creator turned to Twixxel and let out a soft “Sorry” before going back to setting the table.
Twixxel let out a sigh of relief, he thought for just a moment his friend would be a goner. “Dude you have a lot of explaining to do!”
Both men took a seat at the table, seemingly talking about the occurrence.
“Hey, I’ll take a plate upstairs, he seems to gain consciousness and because I know everything, he’ll start complaining about being hungry.” Creator looked at Verity, quizzically.
“I didn’t expect you to be the type to care for others. Especially not with that one around.” Pointing at Mob.
As if sensing something Mob looked at where both Creator and Verity were standing, making eye contact with the blond. The Enderman let out a small smile before going back to making fun of his friend.
“I don’t. It’s just that those two are close to him… if I want to be by his side, I have to care for them like he does.”
