Chapter Text

Trinity has been doing gymnastics as long as she could remember. Her parents first put her in it because she was clumsy (well first it was ballet but that did not go well), and she quickly fell in love. Everyone was always impressed how fast she caught on and her parents quickly put her in private lessons. She never understood why her teammates would complain about practice because to her it felt like flying. When she was flipping, every problem was gone. She quickly got scouted when she was in highschool with 59 D1 offers. Her parents never understood how she never complained about practice like the other kids or how she was constantly walking around the kitchen on her hands. She never once wanted to quit. At 8 years old, her dad gave her the nickname spider-man and ever since then that was her nickname on whatever team she was on. UCLA was her number 1 pick because of how good the team was (and the fact her and her best friend Gracie both got offers.) Then moved from Pittsburgh all the way to California, and her sophomore year Team USA scouted her very quick. Senior year they scouted Molly. So they moved right back to Pittsburgh as soon as she graduated. 

Her parents were of course ecstatic about her moving back, the one thing they never did, was being strict on Trinity, mainly because she was too strict on herself already about it. She didn't want to be the 26 year old that lived at her parents house, so she got a small apartment. One night, they met Gracie's friend at the bar and Dennis was brought along and she instantly had sister instincts for him. When asked where he lived he said the hospital, at first she thought it was a joke until she realized he was not smiling and embarrassed. She offered the spare room and convinced him for an hour to just move in with her. Also, living with a doctor (student doctor whatever) while being a gymnast was probably the smartest choice. 

She woke up at 5am putting on her athletic shorts and t-shirt and went for a run like every morning. She got back at 6am taking a shower and throwing on her leotard and a pair of shorts and a Team USA Gymnastics hoodie on top. "Huckleberry hurry up I have to drop you off and head to the gym let's get a move on" when she found out he was from the middle of bum-fuck-nowhere Nebraska, she adopted the Huckleberry nickname. 

"You know you don't have to drive me every morning there is a bus, I don't mind taking" it's been a year of them living together and Trinity has spent the year reminding him the hospital is on the way to the gym (okay, it's a little out the way but he doesn't know that.) 

He is lacing up his shoes, "Dude it's on my way there, no reason for you to spend money on a bus pass if I am going that way. Plus, I like getting to the gym early to warm up" 

"Okay, okay I get it. You are insane getting to the gym early every day, you know that's like not normal and normal people take breaks?" she shrugs as they walk out the door. They stop at their local coffee shop on the way and then she drops him off with a, "Don't kill anyone" and he flips her off. 

Getting to the gym early is a thing she has done since she started wanting to get serious about the sport. She doesn't do too much as people think, just stretches and do the basic skills. "Wow Spider-Man here early, who would have thought" she hears Molly behind her. 

"I should of never let you meet my parents" she shakes her head while she does a handstand walking in a circle then going down into a almost press handstand and going back up.

"You do realize you just did the exact thing we call you spiderman for" she rolls her eyes as she keeps doing it. The rest of the team shows up soon after and all warm up together. 

Then coach walks in, "Alright girls, we are going to do an easy day today. Mainly working on your routines to keep them sharp" they all nod 

Trinity starts on bars first perfecting her routine, "Good Trin" while Trinity shakes her head 

"Could be better" she responds as her coach groans "Take the compliment Trinity, please before you kill me one day" 

After is beam, which Trinity does her routine without making a mistake even though she learned this routine a week ago. She watches Molly on floor doing her routine. They got to pick their music for their routines and Molly picked Crazy in Love by Beyonce, mainly so she could dance along to it. Her routine is perfect for her, it shows off her personality. She sees her prepare for her long pass and she goes into a roundoff, back handspring, double layout and she sticks it perfectly. By the end of her routine she is screaming for Molly and jumps on top of her.  "Trinity enough hyping up your teammate your up"

She does her normal prep before she starts she does a couple jumps while shaking off her hands. Then the music starts and she decided to go with Don't Stop the Music by Rihanna. Her coach had her do a freestyle when they first started working on it and she loved the way Trinity got into it. Trinity was never one to dance completely on the floor, it's something her coach at UCLA had to get her used to. She rewatched Katelyn Ohasni's routine over and over copying her moves until she got used to it. For some reason this song got Trinity completely lose especially when her teammates would clap on the clapping parts of the song. It got her feeling free and her coach was never happier seeing the way Trinity lost herself in the music. She is nailing every part making up some parts along the way then comes the end. She takes one deep breathe and runs the steps she has done a million times roundoff, back handspring, and a double-twisting back layout. Expect this time she twisted too much and she felt it. As soon as she landed her foot shot with pain, "FUCKING HELL FUCK" she is screaming while her coach runs over. 

"Trinity stay still. It's okay stay calm" her coach is saying while on dieling what she assumes is the ambulance.

"STAY CALM? MY FOOT HURTS LIKE A BITCH" it is already turning purple and she is rolling while Molly comes over and is looking with wide eyes "I'VE DONE THAT ROUTINE A MILLION TIMES FUCK" 

The ambulance arrives soon after taking still screaming Trinity. They look at the giant bruise forming on her thigh from landing on the mat. They clean some of the rug burn and she is squeezing Molly's hand. Coach sent her since they have been friends for who knows how many years and practice wasn't over yet.

The arrive the the PTMC with Trinity still screaming in pain. Molly gracefully brought Trinity's sweatshirt which she threw on. A man approaches them first, "What we got?" 

"Vitals are good, hurt doing a..." the paramedic thinks of what Molly told them

"God it's call a double twisting back layout" Molly rolls her eyes 

"That, bruising already starting looks like a break with some rug burn all over her, some spots still bleeding. Possible surgery consult" the EMT says

Trinity shoots up from her whining, "SURGERY???? HELL THE FUCK NO I AM NOT GETTING SURGERY FUCK THAT NO. LEARN GYMNASTICS MOVES WHILE YOUR AT IT BY THE WAY"

"Wow don't you have some attitude" the man says and she see's Dennis walk over 

"Trin?! Jesus what the hell happened I saw you 2 hours ago" he looks at her foot and his eyes go wide

She groans and grabs his scrub top and she sees the security guard step forward but the older man shook his head at him, "Fuckleberry if you don't fix my DAMN FOOT I will kick you out. I need to compete I swear to god. FUCKING HELL MY FOOT, HUCKLEBERRY FIX IT" 

The older man speaks first, "I take it you two know each other?" 

"Yeah this is my roommate. She's the nicest" Trinity pushes him away by the scrub top she was still grabbing and whines about her foot going to grab it

"Whitaker you can't treat her but we need to get her some pain meds before I get worried about her actually killing you, or anyone. Dana what's open?" The older woman responded while she was taken to the room. 

A nurse came in soon after, a Filipino Trinity can tell and inserts an IV, "Yeah okay I feel better, damn what kind of drugs is that" the nurse laughs. They take her to get a x-ray soon after and then 2 men and a girl and the nice looking nurse Dana walk in.

"Hi I am Dr. Langdon, this is Dr. Robby, and student doctor Javadi" 

She looks at the girl, "Are you old enough to even drive a car?" they all try to hide their laughs but she can see it.

"I see the pain meds are working well" Robby says 

Whitaker shakes his head, "Actually this is... well her normal" they pull out the x-rays 

"Dana I like you you seem nice" Dana laughs touching her shoulder adjusting the IV retaking her vitals. "Dana how do you put up with my roommate he is hell. He steals my advocatoes and his clothes go everywhere. I would fire him" Dana laughs

Dennis throws his gum wrapper at her, "You are the reason I never wanted them to meet you" 

"It looks like you have a break in your foot right here, soon a-" then a woman enters the room, a very beautiful one Trinity thinks "Well there is the devil herself" 

The woman looks at Trinity and smiles before she responds, "Oh Dr. Ken I am so happy about your presence" 

Molly nudges her and Trinity hits her, "Jesus spider-man okay I get you broke your foot but relax" Molly says before going to sit next to Dennis, "Any pain meds that make her not a bitch?" 

The woman takes the scans from Langdon, "Spider-man?" she smirks at Trinity

"Dumbass nickname" Trinity shifts, the woman is so beautiful she is going to die. She looks at Whitaker who laughs, "What are you laughing at fuckleberry don't you have doctor duties to get to instead of staring at my foot. Useless you are, useless" she rolls her eyes

"Wow isn't your girlfriend the nicest" the woman says and both her and Dennis fake gag and Molly laughs.

Dennis looks at the woman clearly afraid of her, "N-no Dr. Garcia she is just my roommate. She is just my too gay to function best friend"

Trinity groans, "I should never have shown you mean girls of my god" she rolls her eyes while he gets up and leaves "Sorry uh who are you?"

"I'm Dr. Garcia, I am from surgery to look at your foot to make sure you don't need my specialize" she smirks at Trinity who covers her face with her hands and then back at the screen "So how did you manage to break it"

"I was doing a double-twisting back layout I twisted too much" the surgeon looks confused "... Gymnastics. Landed wrong" Molly laughs across the room "Molly put a sock in your mouth and do something useful like text coach"

Molly stands up and solutes, "Yes ma'am" 

Garcia laughs at her. The other doctors also left so it's just them two, "You always this much trouble?" Trinity nods at her with a shrug "Good to know, mind if I look at the foot from the double-twist... whatever" 

"As long as you don't have a foot fetish" she instantly regrets her word choices looking at the ceiling while Garcia goes down to look at the foot laughing. 

"So Trinity... how good are you at gymnastics?"

Garcia touches one spot and Trinity whines, "Clearly not enough if I made this stupid mistake. I'm on team USA with my best friend Molly that was in here." Garcia's eyes go wide apparently not expecting that.

"Like team USA as in olympics team USA?" 

"Exactly like the olympic team, you a fan?" 

Garcia shakes her head pulling up the X-ray again, "Know nothing about the sport but might have to learn now. Wow did not expect to get a celebrity in here today. Or any day everyone we get just randos who are stupid. Apparently we don't know that you cannot play russian roulette with an actual gun"

"Well be grateful you got a stupid olympic champion then" Trinity looks at her in the eyes and Garcia's looks wide "Champion?!?!" and Trinity nods and laughs "Yeah, beam last year. I guess it's easier than bars" 

Yolanda nods still very impressed clearly, which makes Trinity blush that she can make this surgeon impressed. "Well I got some good news, looks like you will only need to wear a boot for 2 weeks and it should heal correctly. If it starts feeling wrong while healing, come back and we can look to make sure it is all going well"

"Want to see my again that badly?" Trinity raises her eyebrows, more at her own words but Garcia starts blushing "WAIT WHAT TWO WEEKS. I GOT THINGS TO DO. I HAVE THE ACTUAL OLYMPICS" 

"Well I was being nice and said 2 instead of what should be 3. When you go to compete though make sure you wrap it and try not to land on only that foot. If you are as good as you say you are, you should be fine" she winks and Trinity loses the ability to speak. She goes and gets Langdon back in the room telling him and they go and get her the boot. 

When the walk back in Langdon speaks first, "Yoyo why are you still here don't you got people to cut open" 

"Making sure you don't mess up the olympic champions foot" His eyes go wide "Yeah we got a celebrity. Who would of thought white chocolate would be roomates with a famous person. Make sure you wrap her foot too when putting it in the boot" Langdon rolls his eyes, clearly already knowing to do that. 

Trinity laughs, "Throwing hay isn't all he is good at I guess. Poor thing didn't want to brag about me"

"My daughter does gymnastics, loves it. Still too young for competition but I think I will be having to spend a lot of money when it comes time". Trinity nods, "It's a lot but worth it. I would bring her to some other competitions beforehand so she can see what it's like. Get the older kids to work with her too, they love helping younger kids more than they like actually competing" 

"Thanks for the advice I will be definitely taking that"

Molly walks back in, "Alright I got told what was happening by farm boy, I called coach she said if she sees you at the next 3 practices you will be running with a boot on. Then I told her you would actually enjoy that so she said she will make you clean all the equipment and bathrooms so" 

"Whyyyyyy I can still go and do nothing" Trinity whines and Langdon is wrapping her foot

"Our spider-man doing nothing? Yeah right said no one ever. You can't stay still for the life of you I already know that boot won't stop you from doing your shit so" Yolanda raises her eyebrow, "One time she was flipping on bars and they literally fell apart on her, hit the floor knocked the air out of herself. She was told to stay down, didn't listen and passed out when she stood up" she sits going back on her chair. 

Trinity groans, "I learned my lesson that day okay. Not my fault the screw completely came out and broke"

"Looks like I was right about you being trouble"

Langdon finished by putting the boot on and giving her the crutches, "Already so crutches for a week then you should be fine to just walk with it on. Make sure you are icing it but don't overdo it. Also, try not to do your shit as she says, or you will be out of gymnastics longer" Trinity nods and sighs as they finish the discharge and get into the uber.

"Dude that surgeon had heart eyes for you" is the first thing Molly says

Trinity huffs, "Yeah right, she was hot as fuck though I will say" they go inside, Trinity still trying to get used to the crutches and curl up on the couch watching a movie. 

Yolanda POV:

When she walks in the room she is met with the most green eyes she has seen and the girl is beautiful. 

She hears the nickname Spider-man and immediately wants to know more about it, but no stay professional this is your patient. But then Trinity starts flirting with her, well she thinks flirting she can't tell. Then when she found out she was an olympic gymnast she wanted to die, yeah no chance with this girl. Her green eyes are distracting though especially the way Trinity is staring at her in the eyes like it's on purpose.

When Trinity and Molly leave she walks up to Whitaker, "So your roommate is an Olympic champion and you hid it from the whole department?" 

She watches everyone nearby mouths fall open in shock and start whispering to each other, "I'm sorry your roommate is what?" Robby says coming up as well.

"Ugh whatever yes, so is her friend that was here. I didn't think telling everyone about her was important considering she literally does not work here" he rolls his eyes.

"She's cute" Yolanda taps the desk and walks away.

By the end of her shift she goes home, showers, and eats. And fuck it she looks up her instagram.

She looks up Trinity on instagram:

"Right one gold metal she says" Yolanda scrolls through all the post then groans, "UGH" she throws her phone on her bed. Then she talks to herself, "Yolanda you are being insane, she won't even remember you, she's a fucking Olympic champion"

Trinity POV

"Huckleberry who is that hot surgeon" she says as soon as the door opens

"Hey Dennis how was your shift. Good Trinity, I had a great time even though everyone questioned me about you right after. That's nice Dennis" he says mockingly

Trinity grabs the pillow and throws it at him then another, "OKAY OKAY I GIVE UP. Her name is Yolanda Garcia, she's been there I think awhile. I'm not sure she scares me"

"She's hot" he rolls his eyes as he sits on the couch next to her bringing the pillows back. He puts one under her boot "Thanks Doc"

A week and a half later:

Trinity is bored out of her fucking mind. There isn't much she can do when she's in a boot walking around. She started going to practices again which Dennis drives her too and then starts going on a whole rant how he knew she loves him because it is out of the way. There isn't much she can do at practice anyway, she stretches with everyone then helps her coach with what she can, then gets yelled at for helping. Anything is better than being stuck at the house.

After practice Molly and her go to the apartment making food and couch rotting while she ices her foot. Dennis walks in after his shift, "Have you guys been sitting here since you got done?" Then nod at him. "Okay that's it, my coworkers invited me to a bar with them tonight, we are going all of us" the both groan in protest and he grabs the remote and turns off the TV. "Nope you guys need to get out and Trinity you are finally off crutches come on"

They both get up and go to Trinity's room to get ready. Trinity throws on a tight skirt since it's the easiest with the boot and a maroon top while Molly borrows her jeans and a corset top from her closet. They both throw on light makeup and then Dennis is screaming for them, "OKAY FUCKLEBERRY WE ARE COMING"

He drives them to the bar and they pile out Dennis holding the door open for Trinity so she can get up with the boot. When they enter there's way more staff then she thought even worked there. The girls both follow Dennis like a lost puppy. "Hello Dennis' sassy roommate how's that foot?" Robby asks and she rolls her eyes

"I am going to die, at least I am off crutches. Healing fine though"

Molly chips in, "She is still doing handstands and now she figured out how to do them with the boot while she walks around it's great" he laughs and Robby introduces her to a few other people, she recognizes a few. Dana gives her a hug also asking about the foot. Apparently she learned from Dennis, everyone was watching videos of her. Including her not-nice-at-all interviews. It's not her fault they ask dumbass questions.

Then she see's Garcia staring at her with two girls next to her, "Molly we need drinks" they make their way over to the bar and order and while walking back to the group one girls with Garcia says something while coughing on her drink "H-Holy shit" she's pointing at her and Molly.

"Uh hi?" Trinity says with a very confused face, same as Molly. Yolanda is looking at Trinity and she's about to melt into the floor. 

The girl is still coughing then goes back, "Sorry uh it's just aren't you guys like famous gymnasts?" 

The other girl nudges her, "Samira I didn't know you liked gymnastics" 

Molly and Trinity laugh and look at eachother. She can still feel Garcia's eyes on her, "Uh yeah we are I guess. I don't know about famous though" 

"You are literally an Olympic champion, so yeah famous" Molly says while ruffling Trinity's hair 

"Well terrible way to introduce us, but the fan girl is Samira, I'm Emery, and this is Yolanda" 

Molly speaks for the both of them, "I'm Molly and this is Trinity who is more famous than me, but at least I didn't break my foot" 

Trinity stares at her, "I literally hate you. You are such a di-" 

Molly interrupts her, "No, no, no spider-man we are in public. Make conversation why don't you, I bet you want to talk to her" she winks and runs away while Trinity shouts after her, "YOU KNOW THAT'S NOT FAIR I'M IN A BOOT!" Trinity looks back at the girls, "Uh sorry" 

"No worries Trinity. How is the boot?" Yolanda is still staring at her eyes 

Trinity groans, "Well I taught myself how to do tricks in them and I still practice with the team so I guess it's better" 

"So you like know Simone Biles" Samira is still stunned and Emery whispers to her close your mouth. Trinity laughs, "Yeah we're teammates so I kinda have to. Wait that sounded bad I love Simone don't tell her that she will make my other foot have a boot" 

They all laugh at her, "So your like... here" 

"Dennis Whitaker is my roommate so he dragged me and Molly out because he said if he kept looking at us he was going to be depressed. Glad to see another fan of Gymnastics" 

Samira nods her head, "My parents loved it and tried to put me in it but it did not work. I liked the sport though just not when I had to do it so I still watch everything. I cannot believe Dennis did not tell me" Trinity laughs "Wait have you met everyone yet?" 

"Only a few from when I was at the hospital, like Yolanda" she looks over to the woman and see's a blush on her face. "Wait we will introduce you come on" Emery and Samira walk ahead while Trinity and Yolanda are behind.

Trinity leans over to whisper, "Am I being too gay or is there sexual tension there" Yolanda laughs

"Nope you are right. They are dating so I am always the third wheel" Trinity nods and Samira starts introducing everyone. 

A few people later who she will definitely not remember the names of she runs into two Filipino's Samira introduces and Trinity switches to Tagalog, "Nice to meet you guys" 

Princess is the first to talk, "Ouuu another Filipino, it is nice to meet a famous olympic gymnast". Trinity laughs, "I am hearing that a lot tonight" Samira is already dragging her away and Trinity waves goodbye at the women. 

"So not only do you win 2 gold medals, you speak another language. Anything you can't do?" Yolanda laughs and Trinity has to look at the floor to hide her blush. 

"I grew up speaking Tagalog so that's just normal" 

Yolanda hums and everyone starts making conversation while Trinity and Yolanda are behind them leaning against a wall, "So do I get to know why you are called spider-man yet?" 

Trinity smirks and shakes her head, "When I started doing gymnastics I got called a fast learner. I started walking around the house only on my hands enough where my parents had to yell at me because they were convinced blood would get into my head. So then I started climbing walls for fun and I would walk on the edge of anything I could and my dad started calling me spider-man. Molly and I have been friends since we were like 5, so she heard my dad start calling me it and it just caught on. It's stupid but Molly loves saying it to annoy me and it is kind of a fire nickname" 

"It is, your a superhero" Trinity blushes and laughs, "You excited to get back to gymnastics?"

"Very I only have a couple more days with this on so I am thrilled" she thinks about it "Only nervous about throwing the pass I broke it on. I mean I could change it for easier but-"

"But you are stubborn and will do the skill anyway"

Trinity smiles at her, "Pretty much actually. Can't win medals if your scared. It's like if you get scared doing a skill you will fall or hurt yourself, it takes awhile to get out of your head about it but I worked on it in college so i'm over it I know I can do the skill. Did it a million times, falling once means nothing."

"Ever think about being a doctor with that mentality" Yolanda jokes 

Trinity shakes her head violently, "Hell no, no offense of course. I like the risk of being the one to get hurt not the one to fix them" Yolanda is about to respond when Molly yells

"TRIN, THEY ARE COMING TO OUR COMPETITION NEXT WEEKEND" 

Trinity looks over at Yolanda while her hands fidget with her empty bottle, "You going to come? You guys will be off, it's fine if not but it would be nice to see you there. Rooting for me, and I mean you not them" Trinity leans closer to her and see's Yolanda swallow hard.

"Y-yeah I'll be there. Do we have to like buy tickets?" 

Trinity shakes her head, "Ha no, Molly and I got that covered"

They sit in silence for a bit, "Wait how do you know I have that night off" Trinity moves to stand in front of her. 

"Asked Dennis and he told me of course. So I was going to ask if you wanted to come but Mols beat me to it clearly" she steps close completely against Yolanda's chest close to her lips, which she looks at a couple times "I know a lot. Like I know you stalked me on instagram"

Yolanda's eyes go wide "N-no I didn't". Trinity laughs, "Sure, next time don't slip up. Last time I remember I told you I won one medal, and you said 2 back there. Another thing I am good at is being observant. Next time you stalk me, at least follow me" she sees Yolanda exhale and nod while her face is completely red, looking at Trinity's lips. 

"Spider-man come on, we are going we got early practice tomorrow" Dennis and her are waiting by the door. 

"See you friday Yoyo" she winks and walks away. Fucking hell I just did that.

Yolanda POV

After Trinity called her out she was standing in the corner in shock. She didn't expect Trinity to be bold or figure out she looked at her Instagram. She takes her phone out and hovers over the follow button. "You and that gymnast sure got along" Emery says taking Trinity's old spot next to the wall.

"Fuck off Em. She is like... insanely attractive" Yolanda sighs while Emery grabs her phone and hits follow "EMERY WHAT THE FUCK" 

"Uh you're welcome? You obviously wanted to do it but your a pussy so bam. Never thought I would see the day Yolanda actually liked someone, let alone someone who represents our country. You going to their competition next week then? You better or I am dragging you along, Samira wants to go and who am I to say no to that" 

Yolanda pockets her phone, "I told her I would go so yes. Who else is going?"

"Literally all of day shift. They are obsessed with them, mainly Molly since she wasn't stolen away in a corner with a surgeon or has the attitude of Trinity. Oh and by the way Molly told me that Trinity kept asking and talking about you ever since the hospital so, don't think she doesn't like you. Some gymnast has a crush on a surgeon" and with that Emery leaves. 

Later, Yolanda gets home and showers while her mind is racing a million miles per hours about Trinity. When she lays down her phone goes off. 

Trinity Santos followed you back

"Holy shit" Trinity Santos sent you a message "Oh my god" Yolanda turns to lay on her stomach while she opens it

Yolanda:

Who am I to say no to you? Also, had to after you called me out

Trin: Liked what you see?

Yolanda:

Didn't know you went to UCLA. Come here all the way from Cali to go on team USA?

Trin:

No lol, only went to college there. I actually am originally from here.

UCLA is like one the best gymnastics college teams so I was lucky to get recruited

and it was an easy pick out of the rest even though it was so far. 

No place like home

Yolanda:

Wait how many teams tried to recruit you?

Trin:
Wouldn't you like to know.

A lot but I was only looking for UCLA

Yolanda:

How many is a lot?

Trin: 

Your going to do that thing your do where you just freeze

How many D1 colleges are there?

Trin:

Uhhhh like 64

Guess 5 of the teams didn't like me

Yoyo it's been 5 minutes I told you, you would do that freeze thing

Yolanda:

Enough about me god I am just getting my ego boosted, Huckleberry is going to kill me

Goodnight spiderman

The next day, her shift started of like the last million. As a surgeon it usually doesn't go much different compared to the ED staff. No lost patients today which Yolanda is in a great mood, none of that has to due with Trinity of course.

"Yoyo is that a... smile?" Langdon says pointing at her face and Yolanda hits his hand. "Shut up Ken and do your job" 

"Someone had fun with a certain gymnast" he whistles and Robby laughs "You going to see her in action friday then?" 

She pauses and she cuts open the patient, "Yep free invite to watch gymnastics how could I not? You guys going?" 

"Yes and Trinity also told me I could bring Penny, she is in love with gymnastics right now so perfect timing"

Yolanda pauses, "Wait how did she tell you that? You guys didn't talk?" 

"Oh we have each other on instagram now. She asks for videos of Penny doing some skills" Of course she would want to see more gymnastics than she already does

Robby asks the new med students a couple questions, "I also will be there to see Yolo's girlfriend" everyone laughs while she rolls her eyes "Should she even be competing with her foot though?" 

Yolanda is too busy trying to keep a patient alive so Langdon responds, "I mean it should be pretty much healed. Something tells me she isn't exactly the types to listen to doctors orders even if we said she shouldn't do it." 

Yolanda finishes with the patient, "She's an olympian she knows her limits" 

"Oh what have you done with Yolanda, where is the sarcasm is Yolanda... soft." people laugh again

Yolanda rolls her eyes while the roll the patient out while Yolanda calls out, "Better not ever need surgeon I might accidentally mess up" 

By the end of her shift she heads to the ED lockers and sees Whitaker dancing, "White chocolate" 

"HOLY SHIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" he says terrified out his mind. 

"Trinity told me to come grab something from you" she shrugs smiling still. 

He lets out an oh yeah. He opens his locker and pulls out a sweatshirt, "For you". He laces his shoes and leaves while Yolanda unfolds the sweatshirt and see's a Team USA Gymnastics in the front. She look at the back and sees a T. Santos. Jesus christ this girl

Yolanda: Nice Sweatshirt

Trinity: Good fuckleberry wasn't a fuckleberry and forgot.

Yolanda:

Will do

"Will do, are you stupid" she says quietly to herself. 

She heads home after and opens the door to her apartment, "HOLY SHIT EMERY WHAT THE FUCK"

"Hey I wanted to hang out Samira was at work I am bored" she responds while eating Yolanda's grapes.

Yolanda takes off her shoes, "1. I didn't give you the spare key to break in 2. Your eating my food 3. So I am the second choice" Emery laughs.

"What is this" she takes the sweatshirt "HOLY SHIT SHE GAVE YOU HER SWEATSHIRT OH MY GOD. Santos on the back too DAMN girl is bold. I like her" 

Yolanda takes it out of her hands and sits on the couch smiling.

Trinitys POV: Day before comp

Yolanda and Trinity have been texting like crazy either getting to know each other or just them talking about stupid things and everytime she is smiling. At practice she tells everyone about her and what she said this time. At practice, she starts easy first then going to push herself. The thing about breaking your foot while doing your routine is now you get extremely nervous doing that skill, especially when the media already had to published her breaking it. She started going harder since now is the day she has to throw the skill. When it's fine for her routine she steps into it like normal doing all of her basic stuff that she perfected. When she reaches the edge of the mat ready to throw her skill she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. You got this. Her teammates are saying the same thing all cheering her one. 

She runs and throws herself into the roundoff, back handspring, and a double-twisting back layout. She lands it. She lands it perfectly and her teammates go crazy screaming for her. She finishes the end of the routine  and everyone dog piles her. The rest of practice goes normal and when she is on beam her coach comes over, "How about you free style some of it" 

"What?" she responds, she might be the worse freestyler and she knows this.

"I'm serious, let's do it. When you are up there tomorrow be you and listen to your heart on what to do. You already have won a gold medal twice, so let's go with it, go with what you hear around you tomorrow, do what feels right" Trinity nods fuck it.

She goes home and ices her foot while Dennis walks in, "Hey how was the practice before the big day?" 

"Good besides my coach wanting me to freestyle on beam tomorrow. So now I am trying to think, they never have me do that at UCLA. We had fun but I could never do it I needed a routine" she sighs into the air.

Dennis opens his phone, "I'm ordering food what do you want?" she makes the grabbing hands towards him for his phone. Pushing what she wants then opening her phone

Yolanda Garcia

Trin: 

Do not judge my beam routine tomorrow, my coach is trying to kill me

Yolanda:

You know I know nothing about Gymnastics

But I'll bite, why?

Trin:

I have to free style the routine. I am the worst at it.

That is like Molly's stuff not mine

It is going to go to shit

Yolanda:

Dramatic

You will do fine Trin, I believe in you

Trin: 

You say that but just watch

Yolanda:

Trin

I watched videos of you competing you are insanely talented 

I don't think that a 'freestyle' will kill you

They text for a few more hours before Trinity has to turn her phone off.

Trinity POV: Day of Olympics

She wakes up going on her normal run but this time only 30 mins. With the Olympics today she doesn't want to overdo it just in case. She makes it to practice, "Are you sure your good?" her coach asks

"Yes I am fine the foot feels just like it did before I broke it. All fine and dainty, I literally have been practicing like crazy these last days and I think I have been doing better now than before" They start their warm ups and Trinity works on bars first. She has been practicing a bunch on them (well before the foot happened) and she has been working on the hardest dismount possible. Bars might be the worse she is at, beam close behind, so she has been pushing herself harder at that. It's known, she sees the social media posts about everyone being better than her and today she can prove them wrong, well at least she hopes. Especially since everyone (Yolanda) will be there. She dismounts turning as much as possible and lands it. "Damn okay Trin, broken foot had nothing on you I see" Molly says coming up behind her

"Yeah I want to place today. Fuck the reporters and thinking I won't place at all because I broke my foot" she shakes her head and she goes to floor to practice only her last skill, the one that killed her foot for 2 weeks. She's landed it 2 times now and 5 times yesterday so it should be fine, but doesn't stop the nerves. 

"Alright Trin let's not kill ourselves you need all the energy for today let's get going" Simone says while they walk out the the nearest acai bowl place. 

When they get there food and sit Jordan opens the convo, "You nervous for today?" 

"Not really I got all of them out when I kept landing the skill. More nervous about not placing at all we all know how the reporters are" everyone nods their heads

Molly then speaks her big mouth, "Plussss her surgeon crush will be there" they all snap their heads 

"OH MY GOD SHE'S COMING?" 

Trinity throws a blueberry at Molly who catches it and eats it, "Yes, yes she will be there with a lot of the other people from the hospital" Trinity may or may not have rambled too much to her teammates about her every time they were waiting or stretching. 

"Trinity if you don't lock it in tomorrow I will go crazy. Anytime I see you you are texting her SMILING. You don't smile" Molly responds 

Trinity rolls her eyes, "Yes I do" and her teammates shake their heads "Traitors" they talk more before the alarm goes off for them to leave. They pile into the cars on the way to the arena and it's bigger than Trinity expected. They get to the room and Molly starts braiding her hair, like they have done since their first competition ever. When she's done Trinity is throwing on makeup while Molly braids her own hair. Then it's time, the stadium is erupting already from the other teams walking out. 

"Alright, let's go out there, fuck this shit up and make everyone remember our names. I guess have fun too but LET'S KILL THIS SHIT" Molly is probably the teams number one speech person believe it or not. She's the team's little comedian so letting her do the speeches lessens the nervous. They are run out together and the fans are already screaming. If you asked Trinity her favorite thing about competing it would be this. The little girls admiring them and the fans going crazy. Something about it brings her joy knowing she was once one of the little girls wanting this to be her life forever. Now that she has it, she doesn't know what to do without it. 

The run to the mat all standing together while they say everyones names. The camera moves down the line and when the camera is on her face the fans scream. She doesn't smile more than this, Molly always reminds her. They go to warm up and her and Molly look up to the PTMC and Trinity quickly finds Yolanda and smiles at her sweatshirt and they wave to all of them. She goes over to the chalk bowl putting it on her thighs and hands then putting the grips on chalking again.

Yolanda POV:

When the team came out everyone stood and clapped and cheered. Whitaker was going crazy you would think he was drunk and When she looks up to the screen panning to Trinity she is star stuck. She truly is the most beautiful girl ever. Then when the go to warm up she sees the way Trinity looked at her and down to the sweatshirt and smiled. God that look will be the death of her. 

She has tons of the PTMC here for her pretty much all of the morning shift. There's Robby, Whitaker, Dana, McKay, Javadi, Princess, Perlah, Mel, Langdon and his kid, Emery, Samira, Yolanda herself. Langdons kid is standing watching them and she sees her explaining what is happening to her dad.

Trinity goes and chalks up and Yolanda didn't realize how much they actually use or if it's just Trinity. She starts on her thighs which Yolanda does not understand what for, then her hands and she puts on.... gloves? Why is she wearing gloves? Then she hears Samira call then grips.... oh. Trinity makes her way over to the bars and jumps and shakes her hands which she found adorable. She sees her jump onto it doing some skills. She jumps to the next bar and then goes around stopping at the top and turning around. One point everyone thought she was falling as she let go of the bar and catching it again in an insane way but turns out it's just one the skills. Robby's eyes go wide just saying, "No wonder why we get gymnasts in the ER" When Trinity is done she sees the girl run over to the bleachers to a man, woman, and younger boy who can't be more than 20 years old climbing the wall. Damn she really is spider-man. That's when it registers it's her family she sees them look at Yolanda which makes Yolanda move in her seat a bit. "Oh talking to the family about you?" Emery nudges her. 

"Shut up Em, I am already nervous as is" 

When she walks back down taking off her grips a camera comes over to her with music starting it play

Honorable (Trinity winks at the camera)

We on go, we on go, we on go, we on go

Let 'em know, Let 'em know, Let 'em know

Trinity looks at the camera smiling at the song then puts her hand to her ear and the fans start cheering then she starts making a talking motion and screams "LET'S GO" in the camera  

"Okay I am sorry Samira and Yolanda but... that was hot" Emery says next to them

"Yeah no offense taken I thought the same" Samira responded. Yolanda definitely doesn't disagree because she is frozen in place at that. Damn that ego is high and I don't blame her. 

"So does anyone know anything about gymnastics besides Samira?" she asks the group and everyone shakes their head, "Got it"

She hears a voice behind her, "She has always been like that, the fans are her favorite. She knows how to rile them up for sure" She looks and it's Trinity's dad "I am Jon Jon her dad, Megan her mom, and Teo her brother" she shakes his hand

"I'm Yolanda nice to meet you" She looks over to Trinity now on the beam. She does a backflip and almost falls which everyone's sighs.

Her brother speaks, "Oh we know who you are" his mom elbows him, "Relax about her warm ups she doesn't perform like that. She goes easy here so she has the energy, she just wants to get used to it" His parents look at him "What? I pay attention she doesn't shut up about it and I have been to every comp" Trinity runs over to the guys on music and asks them something. "and here's another warm up activity" 

Then the music changes to, Milkshake? Why the fuck did Trinity ask for this song. She runs to Molly and starts dancing with her, "They've done this since they were kids. Pre comp ritual as they say" Trinity and Molly hug before the coach calls Trinity over. She talks for a bit then goes to rewrap her foot. Yolanda looks at her concerned and Trinity mouths a I'm good to her. She turns back around "She tell you about the spider-man nickname?" Yolanda nods "Well here is one of the reasons why, another pre she does"

She watches as Trinity sits on the floor legs spread and hands pushing in the ground in front of her and she goes up into a handstand, then back down without touching the ground. She does it over and over and over then walks on her hands in circles, "Okay she is stronger than all of us here" Yolanda says as her parents laugh. 

"Our Spider-man" She sees Trinity look up to them then talk to her teammate. 4 of the teammates looked up and smiled and back at her and Trinity was blushing and pushing them.

Trinity's POV: 

She looked up to see Yolanda talking to her parents and she smiled. "Oh girlfriend and the parents" Simone smiles next to her.

"She's not my girlfriend" three of her teammates look over and go mhm. She shoves them "Whateverrrr" 

Her coach comes over to talk to all of them, "Okay listen, I know the nerves are going. You guys have done it before you can do it again. When it's you up there on the event, just act like it's just you there. You all got this I believe in everyone here" Everyone smiles are starts clapping. "Now let's do this" 

Trinity's first event is vault and she is 5th to go. When it's her time she hears the announcers say her name and cheers erupted the stadium. She jumps and shakes her hands like she has always done and takes a deep breath. She steps on the mat. You got it 2 tries. She runs and goes into her roundoff and double twists. Then she steps out, fucking hell. She looks straight disappointed then turns to the judges and fake smiles as she salutes. When she steps off she goes next to her coach, "Trinity you got one more chance don't stress" The score pops up- 13.446. 

She rolls her eyes with hands on top of her head, don't disappoint them. 

Yolanda POV:

She see's Trinity line up and runs and twists in the air. She sees the smile falter from her face, so Yolanda takes it as that was not good. The screen pops up with a 13.446. Trinity shakes her head rolling her eyes.

"Uh I know nothing about Gymnastics, how bad is that" Yolanda asks her family hearing the fans sigh. 

Her dad answers, "Don't worry we have been watching her since she could walk and still don't understand. Only thing I am good at is realizing the scores, it's a low score compared how she usually does so she's mad at herself right now. Luckily on vault they go twice so she can fix it"

"She always does better when she's pissed" Teo says. For acting like he is annoyed at his sister she can see how much he actually pays attention to her, he hasn't even looked at his phone once while she goes on or practices.

"Plus Molly is there and she helps" her mom says

Trinity POV:

She lines up for her 2nd turn and jumps and shakes her hands harder than last time. She see's Molly mouth a "kill it" and Trinity smiles and shakes her head. She salutes and breathes just you here. 

She runs and pushes are hard as she could and twists her body hard and sticks it and the fans erupt. She smiles and salutes getting low high five from her coach. 

14.966, that puts her in 4th. She'll take it, she doesn't like vault and that is better than nothing. Simone, of course, is first considering it is her best event and Trinity screams for her jumping up and down. She forgets how small she is so when she goes to jump on her she almost knocks her down and they laugh. 

Next to beam which she has been dreading, fucking improve. Molly goes first and Trinity tells her to kill it. If anyone is going to place on beam it is Molly, she is so carefree up there and happy. The judges always love it, smiling at her while she moves. Molly is doing her passes perfect while smiling and dancing her way across the beam like always and the team is laughing. Molly could make anyone smile. She watches Molly doing to dismount and she sticks it perfectly as she solutes. Trinity runs over and picks her up carrying her back to the team while they scream for her and her score is perfect. Like Trinity says, Molly will always place and so far she is in first. 

Trinity is a few people after taking deep breaths jumping shaking her hands. Kill it.

Yolanda POV: 

Everyone cheers for Molly as Trinity's parents scream for her behind her. Yolanda laughs when Trinity picks her up carrying her like a trophy. She see's Trinity whisper something to Molly and they smile looking at Dennis with a blush on her face, oh she did not know that. Dennis is cheering standing up for her. They walk back to the bench when Samira talks, "Holy shit that is Simone Biles". Yolanda looks to where she is pointing and laughs because Trinity is having just a casual conversation with her while Samira is fangirling.

Then Trinity is getting ready to go up

"Her coach is making her freestyle she is not happy" Teo says leaning forward to watch

Her parents look over, "Oh god. Yolanda, she hates free styling especially on beam when she is already stressed" Yolanda nods and now she is nervous for Trinity. 

Trinity jumps up doing a split in the air landing on the beam then a front aerial (see Yolanda knows things) She watches as Trinity goes down, leg across the beam as she spins and nails it which everyone cheers for. Yolanda takes that as it is pretty hard to do. Trinity stands up and she walks to the edge of the beam moving her hands dancing, adorable. Then Trinity goes into a backwalkover, back handspring, and back layout (Samira said it) and sticks it then turns to the side smiling walking back to the middle and jumps into the air in the splits and turning in the middle doing another one. Trinity does a front aerial to get to the edge of the beam. She watches Trinity breathe as she does a roundoff, backspring, and throws herself off the at end into a double back layout twisting... Yolanda thinks either a half or one, landing without moving smiling. Her coach runs up after she salutes and hugs her laughing. 

Teo is clapping next to them as they watch the screen for the score 14.100. She watches as Trinity's name moves right below Molly and everyone cheers for her and Yolanda is clapping smiling for her.

Trinity's POV:

She did way better than she thought. I mean hell she is in second right now. She looks at the stands while she grabs her water and smiles to Yolanda and waves. She looks shocked for a second and waves back while Trinity winks at her. In the middle of the Olympics and Trinity is flirting with her. 

She watches the rest of teammates screaming for them, Suni fell off looking upset and got back up like nothing happened then came over to them upset and Molly of course stepped in and Suni was smiling by the end of it. 

The next event, after awhile because of everyone finishing their routines, is bars. She has been working on this one so hard wanting to place first in this event. Only a few have landed the dismount at the actual Olympics. "You good?" Molly comes up next to her

"Yeah I'm good I think. Nervous I want gold in this one" Trinity sighs shaking her hands. 

"And you will" Her name is announced "Fucking kill it, you got it Trin" 

She walks over and salutes then jumps on the bar

Yolanda POV: 

They watch as Trinity jumps on the low bar then jumping to the second. She goes around stopping at the top and turning moving her hands. She goes back down and releases back to the lower bar. When she jumps back to the high she lets go of the bar like in practice and flips over the bar turning this time. Everyone held their breath while she caught it and kept going cheering.

"Well her dismount will be fun, told me she was just going to push as hard as possible and see how much she can turn" Teo said still recording Trinity

Her parents snap their necks at him, "SHE SAID WHAT" Her mom looks like she is going to pull her hair out while her dad has her hands over his head. 

Emery talks to them for the first time, "Out of curiosity, how bad is it that she is going to do that" 

Her dad sighs, "It's very dangerous in general but she just broke her fucking foot. I am going to kill her" 

"Relax even if she messes up she most likely will land on her back not her feet". Everyone looks at him "Why is everyone surprised I actually pay attention to my ate" She assumes sister in Tagalog. 

Trinity's POV: 

So far the routine has been flawless. She caught the bar exactly how she wanted and not a part has been out of place. Hearing her team and fans scream for her this time has made her compete harder and focusing on hitting her moves. The dismount is coming up and she stops at the top and breathes then goes around once and then lets go throwing herself as high as she could. She twists her body hard and keeping it together so she can do as many as she could, flying over her head going around and landing it. She fucking landed it without moving a centimeter. 

Her mind is blank as she salutes flicking her head to the ceiling smiling and back to the judges to salute again who are in shock. Her ears finally work again and this is the loudest anyone has been. Her face is just blank like it's been wiped, I actually did it.

Her teammates run over screaming as loud as possible "HOLY FUCKING SHIT TRINITY OH MY GOD". Molly is hugging her almost making Trinity lose her lungs. Her coach is next hugging her shaking, "TRINITY COME BACK TO REALITY YOU DID IT" 

Trinity finally comes back hearing the announcers go crazy on the mic and she turns to hug her teammates., "I- I just-"

Simone yells next, "YOU JUST DID THAT" She hugs her "TRINITY OH MY GOD" everyone is freaking out and girls from the other team are in shock passing by telling her good job and clapping at her. "TRINITY YOU JUST WON GOLD" which isn't for sure but she definitely placed. They look up to the score and wait. 

17.100. 

A 17.100. Trinity is staring at the screen mouth dropped as everyone is still freaking out about the score. Has anyone ever gotten that? The announcers answer the question it's the highest score someone has gotten. Everyone's mouth drop

"LET THE NEWS TALK SHIT NOW" Molly yells and everyone including Trinity are laughing their asses off. "Maybe you need to break your foot more often"

Her coach snaps her head, "Molly, no?" everyone laughs.

Yolanda POV: 

When Trinity is about to dismount everyone stands up she hears her parents cursing under their breaths. Then when she lets go Yolanda wonders if she is a robot because how does someone move that much or go that high? She lands it without moving at the whole stadium gets up and starts screaming. Trinity's Parents hug each other then Yolanda which was cute. She hears Teo scream 'LETS FUCKING GO THAT'S MY SISTER' into the phone, also cute. 

Whitaker is standing now freaking out hugging everyone, even Yolanda who he is terrified of. The camera goes onto Trinity who looks like she doesn't know if she's alive then her coach snaps her out of it and she is smiling and freaking out with her team. 

Molly has her arms wrapped around her neck when they are waiting for the scores and when it comes up she sees the camera face Trinity whose mouth drops and the whole team pilling on top of her also in shock. 

"Oh my god she has never scored at high" her dad says then the announcers say that no one has and everyone freaks out again. 

"YOLANDA WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING TO RIGHT NOW" Emery screams at her "YOU BETTER ADMIT YOUR FEELINGS AFTER THIS" everyone laughs INCLUDING Trinity's parents.

The team makes there way back over and she can hear Molly scream that she should break her foot more often and the coach yell at Molly. "That was the most Molly thing ever" Whitaker says and Yolanda smirks. Her coach says something then she see A camera come over and a mic and headphones. Trinity puts them on and Trinity's dad takes out his phone and looks at Yolanda, "Want to watch this with us?" 

"Yes please" 

Trinity POV: 

"They want a interview you okay with that?" Trinity nods "Please play nice" and puts on the equipment they gave on her and starts answering their questions and she looks up to see Yolanda and her family watching it on his phone and she smiles. Well they definitely like her. (V=interviewer T=Trinity)

V: Trinity how did it feel to land that perfect routine and get the highest score ever given on bars?

T: It was unreal in the moment I didn't know what to do. My teammates had to practically shock me back to reality, I worked on the routine for awhile and the dismount and tried to perfect it.

V: Well you did certainly prefect it. Were you nervous at all with your foot just getting done healing

T: I was, I think anyone would be. I was practicing for months and months before I broke it and I didn't want to wait another year so I decided to just go for it. 

V: Is there anything you do to prepare or motivates you for this routine in particular?

T: Well one thing that always gets me motivated is the fans and little girls, I was once them looking at these gymnasts thinking I couldn't get to this level and I ended up being able to and I want to show them they can too. So knowing there were fans supporting me always makes me feel better. My team was also big motivators and prepared me, I got so lucky to have them, as many know me and Molly have been teammates for over 15 years and she is my biggest supporter and I trust her with my life so when she told me I could do it, I believed her and she makes me believe in myself in general. I think the little intro at the start with the song helped, it's one of the teams favorites saying let 'em know, we want people to remember us and what we do. One major thing I do to prepare is jump and shake my hands which everyone who watches me, knows I do. I imagine it's the nerves and it works for me.

V: I think we all loved that intro when you walked out, all of us had our mouths dropped (Trinity laughed). Who is here supporting you today?

T: I definitely have a crowd this year. My mom and dad are here which I am very lucky for, they are always watching me compete whether it's on the TV or in person. My little brother who is one of my biggest supporters he gives me all the confidence, then I have a lot of friends new and old. (She pauses for a second) Then the last person is very special to me and here to see me without knowing anything about gymnastics. Starting to think she is my good luck charm today (winks at the camera)

V: Does that good luck charm happen to be your girlfriend (Trinity shrugs at the camera and laughs). Well you have one more event today how are you feeling about that. 

T: Floor is my favorite so I am very excited. I was nervous for a bit since I broke my foot on one of the skills but now I am confident on nailing it, Molly and I have some fun stuff in our routine so I can't wait for everyone to see. 

V: Well we all wish you luck and we are excited to see what you guys can do

T: Thank you!

Yolanda POV: 

Emery looks at her, "Yolanda did she just" Emery and Samira start laughing, "she's flirting with you on camera during the OLYMPICS oh I love this girl" Yolanda pushes her and is as red as a tomato. She see's Trinity look up at her and smile and Yolanda puts her head in her hands 

"Yeah she would be flirting with you on live TV during an important thing that is so Trinidad" Teo laughs and so does her parents but they try to hide it. "I think she has finally scared the people questioning her, she was actually nice". She looks over to Molly and Trinity talking dancing a bit. Then Molly gets up for floor the last event. 

She hears Crazy in love start playing as Molly does a roundoff back handspring double back layout then look at her team and says 

You ready?

The same time as the song and a bunch of flips Yolanda can't even explain to the other end and then moves to the middle jumping into split bouncing up and going the other way again. She dances around the mat shuffling

She points to Whitaker in the stands and his face goes red and everyone laughs. She claps then rolls forward to the end going for another pass. She goes from a front aerial to backhandspring throwing herself in the air with twists. She finishes her routine and damn this girl knows how to control a crowd. At the end she jumps and lands on her stomach then pops back up pointing to the ceiling. Everyone in the crowd is worked up screaming and her teammates hug her laughing, probably when she pointed a Whitaker.

Trinity is the last one person of the day and the stadium is screaming her name as she smiles as she begin and Yolanda hears Don't stop the music as she begins. She starts by clapping and popping her knees with her arms then runs into a front layout roundoff, double layout. She dances on the end moving her feet with her hands smiling. And she does a front walkover, roundoff, back layout. 

I gotta get this body moving shake the stress away. Trinity shakes her body 

Wasn't looking for nobody till you came my way. She points at Yolanda. She actually points. Emery is laughing her ass off next to her and she hears Trinity's parents huff a laugh.

Trinity's teammates are clapping on beat with the song while her Yolanda doesn't think she's breathing. 

She goes into a few more tricks jumping the air to splits then turning to pointing one of her legs straight. 

Please don't stop the, Please don't stop the music 

Trinity slides her foot to the side popping her chest then moon walking. Okay she seriously can do everything. She does more skills Yolanda hasn't seen yet and look impossible. She moves her arms forward and one knee at a time with it during her last pass then jumps to the air and lands on the floor pointing to the ceiling and the crowd goes wild. Everyone is standing clapping for her as she smiles.

Trinity POV:

It's not the best routine she has ever done, but she care carefree on the mat. Yes, she pointed to Yolanda, so what it was friendly of course. She told Molly what she was going to do when they were getting ready, and it looks like Molly even wanted to do her own thing. It's been known Molly has feelings for Dennis, it was obvious since they met at that bar. She ended up asking her friend a million questions about him.

She just won 3 medals. She just won one medal of each color. Let alone Team USA might have pulled off a gold for team overall. She can't stop smiling, I mean how could she not.

Yolanda POV:

The announcers yelled how Trinity just won her third medal of the night and the camera runs over playing my name is by Eminem and everyone pushes Trinity to the camera while screaming her name. She see's Trinity grab her leotard and point to the USA on it and then does the remember symbol by using a finger tapping her temple and her team goes wild crowding her screaming. 

"Damn" Samira and Emery say at the same time

"Okay let's not get a crush on my girl" Yolanda says and they look over and she shrugs

Whitaker sighs, "She's going to be insufferable after all the edits happen" 

Now Yolanda wants to see all the edits, likely Samira had the same idea and is already pulling out her phone.

The first one is from today, it's is to Change by Deftones and Yolanda wants to fade into her seat, because THAT girl wants her. It starts with her going off a dismount at UCLA then edits right into the Olympic landing she just did. There is already one to the WE GO ON song. Honorable is her landing the hardest skill on the bar (everyone is loving that performance) then it goes to what she did to the camera. Then there's one of Leave Me Alone by Renee Rapp and Yolanda thinks that one is her favorite. It goes from her walking out with the WE GO ON song then flipping when want to have fun starts and it keeps going over to that with videos of her smiling. She is so cute. Samira swipes and they laugh at the song Cocky Af. Oh she does have body.

Cocky as fuck everything about me popping Trinity is making the shusing movement at the camera and then another video of her pointing to the USA

Got face, I got body, you name it, I got it They put photos from Trinity's insta. When I'm number one, comes up on the song it is Trinity from when she won last time biting the medal.

Then the next video is My name is by Eminem and it's a video of her signing a camera and transitions to her flipping. Even a part of Trinity throwing her head back with her mouth slightly open in slow motion and everyone stopped breathing, she is so hot. It's one of the best edits she has seen. Then the next one is to the Damned by Miguel. And it starts with Trinity's interview talking about Yolanda and everyone looks over with their mouth dropped. It shows her keep looking to the bleachers and then pointing during her floor routine. Oh so the fans caught on as well.

Samira opens the comments

"Yeah put that phone away I am losing my mind" Yolanda said while everyone laughed at her for once not being the big bad surgeon.

They start the awards and they start with vault that Simone got first on. Then beam Trinity got 3rd in, since one of the girls from Brazil took the 2nd spot. Her and Trinity hugged which was cute. 

Yolanda takes a picture from where she is at of them on the stadium smiling with their medals. 

Next is bars and as soon as Trinity stands on the 1 everyone starts screaming. The gold medal goes over her head and she instantly fake bites it and shrugs. That definitely will get edits, god is she purposely doing this for them.

Then floor that Trinity got 2nd on with Molly in 3rd and Jordan in first. USA sweep. 

They all huddle together as they wait for the team overall and then they announce it with playing American Girls by Harry Styles. Okay a teen has to be on aux. They all hug each other as confetti falling down. They go to line for for the picture and medals. A person comes up to them soon after, "You guys are here for Trinity Santos and Molly Murphy right?" They all nod. "Alright we let it clear out first then we will bring you guys down to see them" Yolanda did NOT know she was going down onto the floor. 

All the Gymnast disappear and that is when everyone starts leaving and it's just left down to the friends and family of everyone. The man comes up to get them and a few other family and leads them down to the floor. Everyone is standing still not knowing what to do until some of the gymnast come out. 

Trinity POV:

They hide away for 30 minutes like normal while people guide the fans out while she makes tiktok's with Molly and Jordan all with their medals. "Can you run up and kiss her and be romantic?" Molly says and the whole team turns and starts saying "PLEASE" and "YES DO IT" 

"We haven't even kissed yet" Trinity sighs 

"What better time is it with 4 olympic medals around your neck" Molly cocks her head at Trinity. "She has a great point" Suni says while trying to get some of the chalk off. 

Coach comes in after and gives them a whole speech while Trinity takes off the wrap of her now hurting foot that no one will know about. "Okay well they are ready for you" Trinity stays in the back nervous as hell. Her and Molly are walking together talking a bit and then she makes eye contact with Yolanda who has flowers in the hands. Trinity looks at them and back up star struck. "I'm just say-" she runs away from Molly and runs into Yolanda kissing her, who is surprised at first then kisses back wrapping her arms around Trinity's waist. She hears everyone start screaming and Molly just saying "FUCKING FINALLY GOD" 

They pull away, "Hi" 

"Hi" Yolanda says back and they laugh "These are for you" 

Trinity takes them and kisses her again and looks back at the flowers. She reads the note, for winning gold 💙. "Did you write this before hand or when I actually got it?" 

"Before, I had faith in you and looks like I was right. I know you are good at Gymnastics and all for being on team USA but not THAT good" 

Trinity smiles with Yolanda's hand around her waist still, "My ego is so high today, don't boost it more" 

Yolanda laughs, "So those two?" she points to Whitaker and Molly who has apparently received flowers from him. 

"Finally, I have been trying for so long. I have to say hi to everyone" Yolanda nods and looks like she's about to walk away to Emery until Trinity rolls her eyes at her and grabs her hand to follow her

"Trinidad!! You did so good. Oh my god that's a lot of medals" her mom grabs all the ones on her neck and looks at them. "My little spider-man" her dad hugs her

Teo walks over in front of the two girls, "Trinity you have to see the video I got of you it's sick" He is showing her 

"I like the yelling in the background at you" he rolls his eyes as she ruffles his hair and then hugs him. "I uh, saw you all met Yolanda"

Teo smirks, "In person finally. 3 weeks of hearing about her I thought she wasn't real" Trinity blushes and looks down as Yolanda wraps a hand around her back. 

"Would you girls like to get dinner with us? We were thinking about going somewhere that is still open. I'm waiting for Molly and Dennis to get over here to ask them too" her mom says

Trinity looks at her mom then Yolanda, "Oh uh yeah I will go, uh do you wan-" 

"I'll be there Trinidad" Yolanda grabs her face and Trinity laughs. Yolanda takes photos of Trinity with all of them then one of her and Teo. Some stupids ones as well as Teo begged to take one of him acting like he is worshipping her then another of her bitting his head.

She drags Yolanda away then she feels a tap on her leg.

This little girl is staring at her nervously fidgeting with a bracelet in her hand, "U-uh Hi Ms Santos" 

Trinity smiles and goes on a knee to be eye level. Her favorite thing is the little kids especially when they are nervous, she see's Langdon behind them taking a photo and smiling and she has found out this is the kid he wanted to bring, "You can call me Trinity, don't you have great manners" the girl smiles and hands her a bracelet

"I um- made this for you Trinity I hope you like it" She reads it #1 Gymnast and she smiles 

"I LOVE it" she puts it on "I have to wear this every time now, I think this was my good luck charm. You like gymnastics?" 

She nods her head, "I have been doing it for a year now and I really like it. I want to be like you!" Yolanda is next to Langdon pouting her lip with how cute this is and Langdon is smiling ear to ear.

"I think you can be better than me, we need more gymnast like you" she sees the little girl look at the medals "Want to try one on? They are a little heavy" the girls eyes go wide and Trinity laughs putting the gold around her neck holding it so the girl doesn't fall forward 

"DADDY CAN YOU TAKE A PHOTO! LOOK!" Trinity goes next to the girl and they smile for a photo together 

She hands back the medal, "Your dad knows me so if you ever want to talk, or get some free lesson have him text me" 

The girl hugs her, "THANK YOU M- TRINITY" Trinity hugs her back while she runs back to her dad as Langdon mouths a thank you.

Yolanda POV: 

Seeing Trinity with Langdon's kid was the cutest thing ever. "Yoyo you need to lock in with this girl" he says and she nods to him because oh she knows that. She wasn't lying in the interview when she said the kids were her favorite part. When the girl runs away, Trinity walks back over to her.

"She is seriously the cutest person ever" Trinity says 

"I could think of another cute person"

Trinity blushes and shakes her head grinning ear to ear, "Your crazy. C'mon we have to see the rest of the group then introduce you guys to my teammates."

"Samira is going to freak when she meets Simone by the way. She was losing her mind the whole time about her" Trinity laughs as they walk over 

Whitaker runs up, "HOLY SHIT TRIN THAT WAS INSANE" he picks her up and goes in a circle "Wow those medal's are like a lot heavier than I expected. How are you wearing 4 around your neck right now"

"Gotta show them off for my ego" she says looking and Yolanda who rolls her eyes. Then Trinity grips his shoulders really hard and he yelps and everyone laughs "If you hurt my best friend I will kill you in your sleep" she lets go "Cute flowers" she says to terrified Whitaker

Yolanda laughs, "And I scare him" they laugh and some of the doctors come over to congratulate her and Dana hugs her. She got 3 more flower bouquets from Robby, Dana, and one from both of Princess and Perlah (Trinity explained the flowers they picked are part of the Filipino Culture). She made Teo hold all of them for her.

"Trinity you did so good" Samira says hugging her and Emery chipping in a you did. 

Trinity hugs her back and stands in front of Yolanda leaning her back against her. She is sure Trinity can hear her heart but she wraps her arms against her waist to make sure. "I heard someone wants to meet one of my teammates. Am I not enough for you?" Emery laughs as Samira stutters "I am kidding come on. That includes everyone who wants to meet them" They all follow over and Trinity's mom is hugging the girls clearly knowing them already. "Simone I have a fan for you. Apparently I am not enough for her" 

Simone looks at her, "SM, shut up" she laughs and rolls her eyes and gives a hand to Samira. Trinity mouthed spider-man to Yolanda so she knew what SM means. "Simone nice to meet you" 

Samira seems to not know what to say since she keeps opening her mouth and closing it, "Hi" they all laugh "It's nice to meet you I have been watching you for awhile"

"Thank you, huge compliment" she says hi to everyone else meeting them and then the team looks at Yolanda

"Sooooo, you are the girl Trinity can't stop talking about at practice distracting all of us" Suni says, hey she's learning names.

Yolanda smirks at Trinity, "Talking about me huh?" Trinity rolls her eyes. "Yeah, yeah whatever. Guys Yolanda" 

They all wave, "So... impressed with her performance?" one of the girls (yeah she doesn't remember) asks

"Very, I knew she was good but that was a different story" Yolanda tightens her hold on her. 

"YEAH NEWS OUTLETS BE DAMNED" Molly screams and Teo hits her and they start fighting like they are siblings. 

They all laugh while Molly runs after him across the gym, "Reporters and all that stuff can be brutal. They talked a lot about Trinity breaking her foot and other bad things. It happens a lot but she definitely proved them wrong today" Jordan explains to Yolanda since she was clearly confused. 

Jordan turns to Trinity and starts posing her for a photo, and apparently it wasn't a cute one since she had Trinity try to bite all the medals and took a .5 of her. 

"She's tough you know, she's got heart. She likes you a lot, would tell all of us. Don't let the attitude scare you it wears off" Simone smirks and then they both laugh hearing Trinity gag when Jordan tried to shove them farther into her mouth "Be nice to her, or the whole gymnastics team is after you"

"Understood, don't plan on messing this up" Simone nods and walks back to her husband leaving. 

Molly runs over to her huffing, "T-Teo is EVIL. I hate that kid" Yolanda laughs 

"You guys look like you have sibling energy like Whitaker and Trinity do" she nods "So did Trinity decide to copy you when she pointed to the stands during the floor routine"

Molly is downing her water, "No, I copied her. She told me the day she found out you were coming she was going to do it. Thought it was a good idea because of how bad me and Dennis are about telling each other how we feel about each other. Think it worked" Yolanda looks to Dennis staring at them "I will see you guys at dinner" she walks over to him and kisses him. Damn both her and Trinity are bold when doing that. 

"I think Jordan is trying to kill me. I know that photo is going on her insta it's so bad" Trinity says 

Yolanda laughs and grabs the medals, "I think you look cute no matter what" Yolanda pulls the medal so they can kiss and Trinity laughs into it "I want to take you on a date"

Trinity nods, "Good because I want that to a lot" they laugh as they kiss again and Trinity's phone goes off 

She sees a text from Jordan and opens it to 2 photos one of them talking smiling and the other them kissing while Yolanda is pulling the medals. "YOUR WELCOME" Jordan screams as she leaves. 

"Wow these are actually like really cute" Yolanda nods because they are. Trinity saves them and makes the one of them looking at each other her lock screen.

"Well you have to send me the photos now so we can match" Trinity laughs and drags her to the group. Everyone is starting to leave with saying bye and her mom saying they will send the restaurant they are going to.

Trinity drags her to room to grab her stuff and change clothes. Yolanda sits on the bench looking at her, "Never in my life did I think this would happen"

Trinity looks over as she is taking her hair down, "Me neither, I thought my life would always be about gymnastics but someone is changing that. Oh wait please say you have a car I didn't drive here" Yolanda holds up her keys "Perfect okay" Trinity leaves to change and then comes back.

"Aren't you still supposed to have that wrapped?" Yolanda points and Trinity sighs. "Yeah it hurts right now but I can deal with it" 

Yolanda rolls her eyes, "Sit down and give me your tape" Trinity looks at her "Trinidad. Sit." 

"UGH, NOW YOU KNOW THAT TOO" she give Yolanda her stuff and she gets to work wrapping it. When she is done Trinity stands, "Maybe I should of had you wrap it before I went on because this feels a lot better" 

"Surgeon magic" Trinity laughs picking up her bag and they walk out the door hand and hand. Yolanda opens the door to the car for her and when she gets in the drivers seat she sees Trinity staring at her medals "You okay?" Yolanda grabbed her hand

"Yeah i'm good just... I didn't expect this. Competing is already like crazy to me but ACTUALLY winning more than one medal is a lot" Yolanda nods as she drives to where Trinity put in the gps to where her parents sent. She put her hand on Trinity's thigh and she felt Trinity smile even though she didn't look. 

The restaurant is 20 minutes away so they have some time to talk, "Did you ever imagine doing anything else other than being an Olympic Champion?" 

Trinity laughs, "Not really I mean at UCLA I was trying to find my major thought about being a doctor for 2 seconds and said hell no. Love the sport too much"

"What was your major?" 

Trinity tries to not laugh, "Media communications, you should see my actual interviews the reporters hate me. I'm surprised my coach let me do an interview, I usually am the last person to pick. One time a reporter asked me how it felt knowing that I wasn't the best on the team for bars and I told him that he should do it then and take my place. USA might not have been too happy with me for that but the fans loved it using it for edits of it and purposely using clips of me on bars." 

"We watched some of the edits when waiting" Trinity smirks and asks how were they "Left all of us with our mouths dropped. They worked insanely fast even edited your interview a certain moment of it" She smirked looking at Trinity "Think you might have not been slick about us"

Trinity pulled out her phone looking up her own name finding the edit, "Oh shit this is good damn. I love my fans" she reposts the video and sees people already commenting how she reposted. Yolanda keeps remembering that Trinity is an actual famous gymnast. 

"Wait do you guys not get media trained or whatever?" 

Trinity laughs, "Yeah we do I just don't listen to them. I have a lot of highlights of interviews, theres a youtube video actually you don't have watch it you can just listen. One of my favorites of me ever" Trinity pulls out her phone and plays it

The first one that plays is the one Trinity just talked about and Yolanda looks at the name of the video 'Trinity Santos best interview moments' and laughs.

1st Clip:

V: Trinity we know you have been struggling on bars and not the best on the team, how do you feel knowing that ("Damn thats rude" Yolanda says and Trinity shrugs)

T: I feel like you should do it then and take my place. I am perfectly fine holding my own and not comparing myself to my team, thanks

2nd Clip:

V: Trinity recently President Trump is known to make a joke about the Women's Hockey team, how do you feel about the president making these comments about women sports?

T: I think if he wants more medals to hold that aren't his, he should start focusing on women's sports. We don't compete for the president, we compete for the United States. No matter who is in charge, winning an award isn't for them even if they think it is. We are here to represent our country not an individual person.("Yeah I got in a lot of trouble for that one" she says to Yolanda who is laughing her ass off still at what Trinity first said)

V: So do you like the president or ever want to meet him?

T: I think my answer to your question gives my stance. I come from an immigrant family who came to America for a better life and I choose to represent that and the country that helped them achieve that better life, not a person who lives in the white house. If he ever did focus on women sports or choose to invite us, I would decline the invite. All I will say.

3rd Clip:

V: Trinity you just won another medal and look not happy to be here, is there a reason why or is it because you didn't get 1st?

T: First off, I don't care about where I place I just love competing, 2nd i'm not happy to be here because you guys ask dumb questions like that.

4th Clip:

V: Do you ever get jealous of the other gymnasts that are better than you?

T: I think being a professional athlete you shouldn't compare yourself or other computers to each other, maybe the interviewers can learn that too. We are all professional athletes we got here to this moment, everyone always is hyping each other up because tearing down a fellow gymnast is a weird thing to do. I am proud of my teammates and the other gymnast when they place over me because it shows how are hard they work instead of sitting there asking stupid questions like that ("Jesus Trinity" "What he pissed me off") 

5th Clip:

V: You are known to be one of athletes that are rude to interviewers, is there a reason for that when most of your teammates are nice?

T: I don't like being dragged down and I don't feel letting people say things to my face that are rude. If I didn't deserve to be here, I wouldn't have a gold medal around my neck. Kids see me on this screen and I don't want them to think people can just say stuff when you try so hard and let them just get away with it, it's okay to stand up when someone is trying to knock you down

6th Clip:

V: Trinity how did you feel tonight being able to inspire these young girls?

T: Thank god not another dumb interviewer, I like you ("They cut out my nice answer but whatever")

7th Clip:

("Okay this is the last one because it's my favorite one")

V: Last night we say you step out of your.... uh routine. How will you fix that easy mistake?

T: Can you even name 5 skills? God how did they let someone who knows nothing about gymnastics in here, next question please.

Yolanda is laughing so hard, "Why do they let you still do interviews?"

"I have no clue, usually I get 5 questions and I am pulled out because of my attitude, then Molly goes in and gets pulled after 5 questions for asking to repeat 3 times and not being serious. Interviewers hate me, Directors of Team USA hate me, the fans love it" Trinity smiles 

Yolanda is still smiling shaking her head, "I love your family by the way, Teo is hilarious"

"I know they are great, and Teo is the best brother. We tell each other everything, our parents think we hate each other sometimes without knowing we actually facetime every day. Do you have any siblings?" 

Yolanda nods while turning, "Yes I have an older brother and sister. Both are married with kids, I told them about you actually when I went to family dinner and none of them believed me, not even my parents"

"Does that mean I have to meet them to prove them wrong? You met my family only fair" she sees Yolanda's face light up

"I think that would be perfect actually. Might have to bring the medals though to prove it"
