   They spun around him and pressed at him. The darkness always won, it always told him what to do.

   She stood there. A little fish about to be swallowed up by a sea of fast flowing people that shifted and swam around her, lapping around her shores. She was too short to see where she needed to go, to escape from the swell of the fast flowing stream of people.

   He saw her. Could she see him?

   He saw her. Could he rescue her from her predicament?
